What is even happening?

I wish we had a squickly font, for posts about people who dip themselves in oil then dredge themselves in oats, because that's something I never wanted to know.

Why would I care? The corpse is meat. I have no urge (at all) to do either, but I don't see the point in it being illegal.

Okay, imagine it's your mother's corpse.

Is there some cross-species version of ageofconsent.com?
I have to get out of this thread.

Allyson, I'm glad you had such a good day.

I'm good. My best news right now is that my final round of chemo is tomorrowtoday, which means my treatment is done. Now we go into the surveillance phase, and, obviously, it is my fondest wish that they surveil exactly nothing out of the ordinary. Am mulling over ways to celebrate end of treatment.

Jen, this is fantastic. And yes. May your surveillance phase to bore everyone to sleep.

Cindy, when does Veronica Mars premiere? Do we know yet?

What is even happening?

Yes, SA. It premieres Tuesday, October 3, at 9:00pm, but the CW is offering an online sneak airing of the premiere in conjunction with MSN.com on Tuesday, September 26.

Now SA, what happened with your car?

Oh, I see the answer in Bitches. Never mind.

Timelies!

Believe it or not I had insomnia, however, I chose to sit up reading an actual, whatdoyoucallit, book instead, on the basis that not even Left Coasters would be up....

Oh, score. Hopefully someone will put it up for download in September, that'll be great. I can't wait! Is it full run or thirteen?

Ah-ha, Connie, but you forgot my wily Irish wiles! I'll be the super night owl that isn't night-owly at all but fresh and awake and (sadly) at work.

Why will no one pay me to take a year-long holiday?

SA, msn.com is going to stream it. You can probably watch it.

I don't know the correct show business terms, but they picked up the show for 22, but have some sort of option to kill it at 13. I think that all has more to do with contractual/payment stuff than anything else, because they can, of course, cancel it after any number of episodes, and they will, if it doesn't retain some of Gilmore Girls lead-in.

If I find out how to get someone to do that for me, I'll let you know. Previously, the only way I've found to do it was to get laid off from a job I loved with all my heart, so it was something of a mixed blessing. And it wasn't for an actual year, more like eight months of unemployment pay & severance c a r e f u l l y stretched out.

Think of it as character-building?

Today my little work group has been called to an "introductory meeting" with the brand-new CIO, so I suppose I should dress nice and show up for it.

Huh, it's paired with GG? That should do it some good.

It's one here, and I'm starving; I always get stuck with the later lunch break, from one thirty to two thirty. Today's menu: broke-ass former college student tuna on wheat. Yum.
