S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

She's sort of the "bless your heart" type anyhow, and while I'm not especially Grumpypants in the morning, I just like to conserve my talking energy for the entire day I have to spend on the telephone, you know? Of course you do.

Second shift is like manna from heaven. I did it for most of the summer, and it was seriously the best shift ever.

This is just the thing that's currently kicking my ass, so of course it's what I'm lamenting.

Oh, hell yeah - I completely get that. Didn't mean to be anything other than sympathetic. I can't imagine having to make the switch.

That is the best news you could have given me. I'm so glad, Jen, I've been thinking about you a lot these last few months.

Thank you. That means a lot.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Oh, hell yeah - I completely get that. Didn't mean to be anything other than sympathetic. I can't imagine having to make the switch.

No worries. I was just commiserating. I woke up on my birthday a couple weeks ago with my back screaming at me, just in case I wasn't aware enough of the passage of time. And I'm not even all that old yet, it's just the whole realizing that last time I did such and such, however many years ago, it was a lot easier.

That's the one good thing about getting shunted off to nights. Not having to constantly talk to people on the phone.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Yay, Jen!

I am among the insomniacs. I woke up about two hours ago, and finally gave up the struggle. I think it's either the new drugs I have for tendonitis or the trying to sleep with a brace on my hand.

you know, I don't mind it much; it's an interesting challenge to penetrate all the Irish accents, you know? And sometimes you get a fun person who's all "you're not from around here!" But mostly it's older folks shouting in my ear because they can't understand me.

While I am sorry for your insomnia, I'm selfishly glad some folks are awake for me to talk to during my morning work!

I am among the insomniacs.

Well, that's no good. Except for the getting to see you part, of course.

I think I'm going to go hop in the shower now and then make some breakfast.

What is even happening?

I wish we had a squickly font, for posts about people who dip themselves in oil then dredge themselves in oats, because that's something I never wanted to know.

Why would I care? The corpse is meat. I have no urge (at all) to do either, but I don't see the point in it being illegal.

Okay, imagine it's your mother's corpse.

Is there some cross-species version of ageofconsent.com?
I have to get out of this thread.

Allyson, I'm glad you had such a good day.

I'm good. My best news right now is that my final round of chemo is tomorrowtoday, which means my treatment is done. Now we go into the surveillance phase, and, obviously, it is my fondest wish that they surveil exactly nothing out of the ordinary. Am mulling over ways to celebrate end of treatment.

Jen, this is fantastic. And yes. May your surveillance phase to bore everyone to sleep.

Cindy, when does Veronica Mars premiere? Do we know yet?

What is even happening?

Yes, SA. It premieres Tuesday, October 3, at 9:00pm, but the CW is offering an online sneak airing of the premiere in conjunction with MSN.com on Tuesday, September 26.

Now SA, what happened with your car?

What is even happening?

Oh, I see the answer in Bitches. Never mind.
