Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Lyra Jane!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm kinda assisting kettlebell tonight. It's possible I knew this was coming in a big picture way, and it's possible that for a couple days I've known it would be today, despite not being asked until late yesterday.

Why does it take until now for me to not want to do it? I do not get performance anxiety.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Timelies,

Just skipped 800+ posts.

Second evening of night shift. So very tired. Phone didn't ring once last night. Ugh.

So things continue to be stupid at work. Apparently person I'm replacing on night shift got moved to days as a field tech here at the Corporate office, despite having no actual technical skills whatsoever and no previous mention in the department about there being a field tech job open at the Corp office.

I'm feeling incredibly jerked around. First I get reorganized from field tech to help desk, then I get shoved onto help desk night shift at a different office 45 miles away so that one of the current night shifters can become a field tech (though granted at the Corp office.)

Plus there's assorted other BS going on, like the field tech position opening up because the field tech has been promoted to Help Desk manager, a position we were told would be posted and we would all have the ability to apply for if we wished, once the duties were finalized. It was never posted.

I've also found out (though it's not going to be announced until tomorrow) that my former boss is leaving the department after 12 years to work in a different department in the company. This is after another director stepped down from his position after 7 years in it. With all the grumbling going on from just about everyone who was here previous to the CIO, I won't be surprised if there's a mass exodus in the near future.

And my boss still can't confirm what shift he needs me to work next week. ETA: Nor has he responded to my questions about getting paid a shift differential and/or overtime (including the holiday, I am effectively working 52 hours this week.)

So yeah, any free time I have this weekend not spent sleeping is going to be dedicated to trying to finish getting my resume updated.

Yeah, that has mass exodus written all over it, with more to come. Good luck with the resume.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Yeah, that has mass exodus written all over it, with more to come.

Yikes. Rats leaving a sinking ship. Good luck, Kalshane.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

More geese that lay the golden eggs than rats, I'm thinking.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The ship is no good, I think we can agree on that.

It is a bad, bad ship. Much new, better, cool job-finding-ma to you, Kalshane.

Another thing I can definitely agree with.
