This girl at school? She told me that gelatin is made from ground-up cow's feet and that every time you eat Jell-O there's some cow out there limping around without any feet. But I told her that I'm sure the cow is dead before they cut its feet off, right?

Okay, I have the cantaloupes, but there's no one around with a camera...

Also, the holding my breath seems to have worked. For the moment. They have a habit of going away and coming back. I'll be sure and keep you all updated on any exciting developments in my epic struggle.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I wonder if the cantelopes would work on my ear infection pain?

Our wings are not tired.

The sugar thing is the only one that works for me. Then again, I never normally do sugar, so it may be the shock to the system. I think Tommy's suggestions might work though.

What is even happening?

The only thing that works for me for endurance style hiccups is eating a spoonful of sugar.
Me, too. Do you take sugar and water (I do), Lee, or just sugar?

Jars, since they're hic-burps, have you tried an antacid?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

YAY for no more hiccups.

I am guessing you get orb

We probably will, Beth, but I bet I have to go to work first. I kind of like the fog, since it's the first one we've had for a while.

Sugar alone, then if it works, lots of water to get rid of the sweetness.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I've found a good hiccup cure is to apply pressure to the base of the neck, in that gap just above the last vertebra in the torso.

Supposedly it puts pressure on some nerve or other that's involved in the hiccuping process.

Accupressure almost always works: Hold your first three fingers of your right hand flat (and tightly) against the inside of your left wrist (where the veins are showing) for about thirty seconds.

Oh, I'm marking that post, megan.

I wonder if the cantelopes would work on my ear infection pain?

If you haven't already, take an antihistamine and some Tylenol (or Motrin, or whatever for the pain). If you don't have an infection, the pain may be just from fluid, and the antihistamine can dry it up.

E-mail to client: I added the last sentence in the second paragraph.

The accupressure thing works best for me for hiccups. I press a thumb's width below the wrist crease, but it sounds like the same basic pressure point.

I fill the spoon with sugar, then drizzle water on it. Also gross, but less so. Usually, though, drinking something too soon after un-does the cure, so I have to deal with the cloying taste, for a while.
