Is Hawaii that boring?

British Lost star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was arrested on Saturday in Hawaii - joining the ever-growing list of cast members cited for traffic violations on the island. The 39-year-old actor, who plays Mr. Eko on the drama, was arrested for disobeying a police officer and driving without a license. According to police, he posted $500 bail and was released after spending just over six hours behind bars. In December, Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were arrested for drink driving. Both pleaded guilty. Six other cast members have been cited, but not arrested. Josh Holloway got a speeding ticket in September, while Dominic Monaghan has been pulled over twice for speeding and was also cited for driving without a license. Naveen Andrews has also been slammed with two speeding tickets and Ian Somerhalder has one. Harold Perrineau Jr. was also ticketed for having no motor vehicle insurance during a safety check in Honolulu.

Never heard of Judge Crater either.

Neither do I. However, the increased incidence per actor capita of stops and arrests in HI makes me wonder two things:

• Is HI so crime-boring that the cops are spending more time on smaller offenses?
• Is HI so boring that the actors are committing these crimes more often than they might somewhere where they could just be peeing on hookers while doing coke?

Don't the Lost cast members make enough money to call a cab, if a limo is too dear?

Yes. Of course nobody found the dress before that, which means if it was a bloody dress, she managed to hide it, and clean up the spills. Her claim was that the dress had paint on it.

Borden's case is very much like OJ's. Lots of mistakes by the cops and the prosecution, and an excellent defense lawyer.

What were the police-mistakes in the Borden case? It's been so long since I've read about it, I have no clue about that level of detail.

I'm thinking it's going to turn into a thing amongst the Lost cast now. See who can get the most traffic violations. That or it's already a thing amongst Hawaii cops - see who can get the Lost actors on traffic charges.

Hawaii does have an abudance of very pretty views from the highways and not many people on said highways - easy enough to want to speed around, I'd think. Also, cops who are less likely to let them off because they're famous.

That baby has waaaaay too much hair.

I had hair like that when I was born, except mine didn't lie flat. It looked like I'd stuck my finger in a socket, thick dark hair sticking out all over. Those very first pictures of me are a bit... disconcerting. I got hella cute for several years later on though, so it worked out.

I think the hair sticking out all over sounds adorable.

My youngest sister (Helena Handbasket to you here) was born with lots of black hair as well, but hers only stuck straight up on the top. Very punk. Weirdly, her post-birth hair grew in dark blonde.

That's the thing, though -- most babies with that much hair at birth lose it within a few days. I don't think I've ever seen a baby that young (but not newborn) with that much hair.

Well, the fact that she was able to wander around for days afterwards, destroying possible evidence. They didn't really search the house for evidence. And her contradictory testimony at the inquest was disallowed because she wasn't sworn in, although the judge seems to have been rather biased so I don't know if the cops should be blamed for that.

For the time and place, a lot of the mistakes are understandable, but still.
