Good news! I just got off the phone with Mom, and she forgot to tell me yesterday that she had spoken with the travel agency over the weekend and found out that she will be getting everything back from the cruise company and airlines! Even the medical equipment company that she and Wayne had purchased the portable oxygen tank from just two weeks ago is going to refund the purchase and just charge her for the rental cost equivalent for those two weeks.

So I take back everything bad I said about them this morning.

What is even happening?

I cling to the hope that Satan will return to earth and tell Jeffrey it's time to come inherit his throne.

Dear Self,

Despite what you see to the contrary (all too often) on some internets, Buffistas know S-A-T-A-N spells Satan, a.k.a. "The Accuser," and S-A-T-I-N spells satin, the terribly smooth, but not so forgiving fabric. This is an important distinction to make when parsing posts on evil fashion designers.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So I take back everything bad I said about them this morning.

Yay!

Kathy, that's so good! I was really hoping it would turn out that way. I know we've found most companies to be really decent after deaths, but there are always the asshats. There are also the poor pawns on the front lines who are often ordered to say, "No," without exception, by the very same bosses who will make exceptions.

I'm not sure Laura's ever pulled off "stunning" either.

Even though I'd never look good in a Laura design (waaay too round-bodied), I love that elegant Kate-Hepburnesque look she's perfected. She can do over-the-top glam (that fur-collared jacket), casual chic (the Kate Hepburn icon design), and really nice gowns (I liked the jetsetter dress, even though I hate the whole craze for nude "colors").

Uli is too stuck in halter-top-dress mode. We've yet to see anything else from her--I was pretty happy to hear the judges criticizing her for this last week.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Great news, Kathy!

About the refunding, not the fashions.

This. How interesting is a collection from her going to be? I'm actually interested in seeing what Jeffrey would do with that opportunity.

Of course, as long as Michael makes it, I really don't care who else is there.

Because books.

Of course, as long as Michael makes it, I really don't care who else is there.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I am.

And although Uli really is talented, I'm bored by her now. I'd much rather see what Laura or Jeffrey would do with a collection. I kind of can't imagine Uli doing a pair of pants, or a jacket.

Although, I was excited to see Chloe's collection, too, and it was way too formal for me.

I just realized I should have just posted, "What Megan said."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, cool, Kathy!

I went to the doctor and I have osteoarthritis. Now I remember why I like my GP, even though I seem to confuse him endlessly. He wouldn't look startled when I asked "So the impact exacerbated the osteoarthritis?" or try and leave before giving me a prognosis.

I also had him look at the rash that surfaced a couple weeks ago and has been spreading--seems I'm allergic to something.

After nagging I got a prescription for celebrex and a topical something something for the rash.

Doof.
