Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Ooh, House. yay.

Just got back from pilates class and errands and am going to jump in the shower. I think tha's enough to accomplish for one day, so we're going to SOaP and Invincible to escape the heat.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm so sorry to read of Marni's passing. The loss of someone so young and vital is tragic. {{ita}}

Looking forward to the House season. I've never watched the show live. I'm thinking I'll have to tape and watch this season too. Local television is just one nasty political ad after another. It ruins the experience completely. Maybe I'll be able to watch after elections are over. Beer and furniture ads are easier to ignore.

ION, I'm having a gathering with food tomorrow and I haven't done anything to prepare. Guess I should get on with that....

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It's too bad you are TJless, Laura. You could do what I did for the Zmayhem baby shower, and let them do the "cooking". Their carmelized onions and feta in phyllo dough are really good.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

With House starting a new season this week, thus starts the running of multiple VCRs here, which will end up with three of them running at the same time once the Law & Orders start up. It's bad enough that there's a show pile up, but why'd it have to be on the night I'm out every week?

My deepest sympathies, ita.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It's too bad you are TJless
Is this even in English? TJ-less? Tee-jay-less? It's like oxygen-less, not really a concept that I understand.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Here is how you know I watch too much Food Network (and I haven't even been watching it that much since I got Real Cable!!): I randomly turned on some bartender competition show, and recognized one of the competitors.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Sheryl, you should just give in and get a TiVo, truly. They come with dual tuners now, so you'd be able to get rid of a couple VCRs, it sounds like. You can't argue (well) with efficiency!

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I have to say, I got a trial month of DVR when I moved and it's going to be hard to give it up.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to pick clothes for the funeral tomorrow. I haven't been to a funeral for fifteen or twenty pounds. Sure, I have lots of black, but it's about tone.

I considered shopping today, but honestly, I shouldn't. I love new things, but shopping would have stressed me out. Anyway, had a migraine and just lay limply around instead.

Now I have to decide--tank top sweater with skirt with gentle ruffles, or spaghetti strap tiered dress with cardigan over.

For starters. There is also the wide-legged knit pants with the close T-shirt.

I should go check tonight. My ride is coming at 8am tomorrow. But I don't want to accept physically that I'm going to a funeral, so I'm lying here in the living room instead, pretending that tomorrow morning isn't going to rip me to shreds, and publicly. Pretending that it's not going to rip to even finer shreds people I care for and respect greatly.

This hurts. I hate the silence.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm so sorry, ita. I wish there was something that I could say or do to make it a little bit better.
