Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm shaken and can't imagine how everyone else is taking it.
I am so sorry for both your and the entire centre's loss, ita.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

People I care very much for are hurting. I don't deal well with that sort of thing at all. Not really your font of calm and comfort.

They're closing the centre on the day of her funeral (Sunday), which is a bit of a relief. I was prepared to go in and teach all the krav classes so other people could go to the service, but I'm glad to have an opportunity to pay my respects at the same time.

God. People. Pain. August.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

God, ita, that's really sad.

~~~~~~
Just popping in to mention - someone mentioned "brown" ladybugs a while ago. Check carefully - they might be carpet beetles. The adults eat dead things. The larvae eat natural fibers. I found this out the hard way.
Toddson, how do I check??? It looked exactly like a ladybug.
SO glad people are sharing in the Sandra Lee hate. You people make me laff.
I'm thinking that everything Giada de Laurentis eats must go entirely into her giant head.
Seriously.
When I was talking about Sandra Lee at work the other day, my coworker was saying that no one she knows watches Food Network. I was like, Dude. Everyone watches Food Network! I am glad to see I was right. (Coworker is mid-20s and skinny (and beautiful) like a model, so I can see where none of her friends watch it.)
this mess was yours / now your mess is mine
I was prepared to go in and teach all the krav classes so other people could go to the service
ita, I am *so* glad that I know you.
I know you might say, "Because I was going to teach all the classes? That's just what you do when there's a need -- it doesn't make me a saint."
But the thing is, not everybody would do it. I think probably most people wouldn't do it. And then, of the people who *would,* there are those who would expect Others To Notice. (I mean humans in general, not specifically your fellow krav-ers, students and instructors alike.) And I just wanted you to know that -- you are quite the human.
And I'm so sorry about Marni.
Sometimes just being is all you can do. Sometimes it is enough, sometimes not.
You really are, ita. And I am glad Steph pointed it out so nicely.
Now tagless for your comfort.
ita, I'm sorry for your (and the world's) loss.
Matt, thanks for posting the good news update on your dad. I'm glad he's doing better.
Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.
I'm so sorry, ita. What a terrible loss to the world.
