Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm using my new Bluetooth headset, and apart from me not being able to answer the phone, and me hanging up on people accidentally, it's great.

Which is to say, it's more comfortable than the previous one I had. Who cares about the other stuff?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Who cares about the other stuff?

Does it look cool? You should care abou that.

I'm not answering my phone for the next 15 minutes . Someone called and asked us to do something, which is really easy if you catch it at the right time, but it is so passed the right time now. Told him I'd try, but made no guarantees, especially given the hour. So now we're just gonna pretend we all went home.

He's my biggest whiney baby.

Don't like your baby bald? Why not get a baby wig. Or baby toupee. [link]

A white baby in a Lil Kim wig is something I never thought I'd see.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Urgh. It's not enough that we're getting lots of wind and rain from Ernesto, but does it have to be so cold?

The only thing we're planning to do this weekend is go to the Maryland Renaissance Faire, weather permitting.

GodFUCKINGDamn.

August is over, right? Last night, Marni Levine, the first female US black belt in our branch of krav, died of cancer. She'd had breast cancer and fought it back into remission a few years ago, but this time wasn't so...lucky? She leaves behind a husband, two young children, many friends and colleagues and students who will grieve her almost as fiercely and brightly as she taught and led.

I didn't know her well, but she was nothing other than kind to me, and I respected her a tremendous deal. I wish...well, all of us wish we could have had more time with her, I wager, and most of them have more closeness with her with which to claim it.

But selfishly I wish I'd had a chance to know her better and train with her more.
