Mal: Gotta say, doctor, your talent for alienatin' folk is near miraculous. Simon: Yes, I'm very proud.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

It makes me laugh, too, considering all the time I spent in my twenties whining, "I'm alooooooone. I want a husbaaaaand. I want a baaaaaaaby. I'm alooooooone." And now, ten years later, "Gah! Too much husband! Too much baby! LEAVE ME ALOOOOONE!"

My alone time is at work, mostly. Children under 3 don't really get the whole "alone time" concept. But, I hear tell eventually they grow up and go to school and learn to read and atuff! For now, this is why God invented PBS Kids.

You think they will never want to leave your lap, then next thing you know they are gone off with their friends all the darn time. Yippee!! I didn't get the clinging gene.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

When my girlfriend recently went through her housing issues, several of her friends asked her why she didn't just move in with me and her response was 1) Way too soon 2) His place is way too small which pretty much summed up my opinion on the subject as well. While my apartment is a comfortable size for me on my own, it's not really two people friendly. Especially not when one of those people is an introvert.

Honestly, I'm not in any hurry to get to the moving in together phase. I've already jokingly griped at her about assorted stuff she's started leaving at my place so she has less to transport on the weekends she's staying with me.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It's good to hear from you, Toddson. I'm glad all is mostly well.

Separate houses is Robert B. Parker's (of Spenser for Hire fame) solution. His wife of 22 years threw him out. He pined. He begged. They bought a duplex...he must seek permission to enter her half. Beyond that? Happy clams.

Fela and I talked about living together before we got so sick and things got strained. Now? I'm glad it didn't work out. Saved by the bug, I guess.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

yes, the Parker House is in Cambridge, outside of Harvard Square. EllenBS showed it to me on our first F2F. Ah, memories!

You also see those issues/feelings played out between the protagonist and his SO, in the books.

A relationship I adore. I'm a bit over the Spenser plot(s) but I love hearing what the characters have to say to each other. Especially when Joe Montenga (sp) reads the audio version.
