I'm just trying to figure out how the working in 8 hours of sleep would work, and I'm just not coming up with anything.
I honestly think the only way (in the current situation) would be to hire a weekly cleaning service, so that the cleaning would come off of your plate. I mean, I'm single and childless, and I can't even get 8 hours of sleep per night if I want to exercise & keep my (wee) apartment clean.
{{{Gud}}}
Well, a half hour of doing misc. cleaning stuff isn't really a burden. Cut that out, and I'm not doing jack around the house except on the weekend. So I can't really complain out that.
If the problem is lack of "Gud time," would you feel comfortable skipping the exercise one morning a week to do something else just for you?
That's a pretty good idea, regardless of sleep time.

You don't have to be "complaining" to see that as a place you could let go of part of your current routine to free up the time for things you think are more important, whether it's sleeping or even sitting around, honestly. I am a big believer in the importance of sitting-around time.
Right now I'm doing okay so no sympathy really needed, but I've got these two competing things coming up. My wife wanting me to get more sleep, and starting up a side business but one that is serious enough to provide work for my disabled BIL who is having trouble getting work.
Maybe I'm being too judgemental, but wanting you to start up a home business capable of employing a third party when you're already pressed for time by your current job and household responsibilities just doesn't sound reasonable (or possible) to me, Gud.
It really does just sound impossible, pretty much.
Yeah, I can't think of a good way to work things out. I like Fred Pete's idea to get a little self-time, but I don't know how I do all this and increase sleep time too.
You exercise every weekday morning, Gud? Lose it. Drop to two or three times, and get some in on the weekend.
