Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, those look so very comfy, Aimée. If my long-delayed run to JC Penney isn't fruitful this weekend, I think I'll give that a shot.

Jessica--happy anniversary!

There are few weeks of work I'd rather have end than this one.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Lucky for you, it's almost over.

(Sign that I knew I could be friends with my one coworker: I said something about wanting a day off, and she made the crack I usually do about the two days off coming up at the end of the week.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Kathy, I'm so sorry.

Not soon enough, Jesse. Nowhere near soon enough.

Very strange video with screaming German kid.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, Kathy, that's horrible. ~ma to your mom, you and the rest of your family.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, Kathy, I'm so sorry for your mother and his family. And you!

Strength and peace to you all.

I'm so happy today is over, I can't believe it. I'm just in a foul mood and now I'm going to go home and lock myself in my house and do the dishes and try to catch up on the hours and hours of television I've fallen behind on. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll go running...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm sorry, Kathy. That's so horrible for your poor Mom.

We've had an action packed day. Well, except Jacqueline who had a day packed with indolence. But Emmett and I went off and played tennis for about an hour and a half this morning. Then we walked about a mile to get his hair cut. After that we hit the magic shop where he got a tiny cap gun and two packs of caps. Back to the house, and we just played catch for an hour. Now I think we're locked in for the evening.

Emmett's tennis has gotten very good. Not enough to beat me yet, but it's getting closer. He looks very athletic and right when he's attacking a passing shot with a two-handed backhand.
