You know me! I'm like, "Go school! It's your birthday!" Or something to that effect.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The container just said smoked salmon. But it's hardly like I've never had the stuff before. This particular incarnation, however, tasted to me of nothing other than salt, and that's a bit disappointing.

It's possible my taste buds are shifting their appreciation (I do seem to be liking sweet less and peppers more, within reason). Or just that I got some salty-assed smoked salmon, which is Occamish to me.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

For me, I am so used to hard smoked salmon, I can hardly taste the smoke on lox. It just tastes like raw fish to me, which I'm kind of meh about.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I did enjoy envisioning Brian Kinney as the FBI agent, though.

Brian Kinney is just a fun person to imagine in many situations! (no not that way). I read a fanfic where he was hired by Wolfram and Hart for publicity (I think) and it was fuh-nee. Also the one where he decided to run for office. Hee!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Lox is generally cold-smoked after being salt-cured. Without the cold-smoking, it's gravlax.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Without the cold-smoking, it's gravlax.

I thought that was a Klingon dish.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

hard smoked salmon

Thank you for reminding me to bug my mother about sending some down. Hopefully she smoked some this year.

Also, lib, did you hear that the Fly By Night Club is closing? So sad.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I thought that was a Klingon dish.

It's what the Mayor ate before he turned into a snake!

Only for the Swedish Klingons.

Great, now I have this mental image of a Klingon Swedish Chef muppet. "Bork, Bork, Bork, P'tak!"

ETA: Hee, Klingon Swedish Chef x-post!
