Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Per usual, I should be doing laundry and am not.
I did mine yesterday. Ten loads. Ten??? I live alone. How is that even possible? I still have the last load (sheets) to get out of the dryer and fold. I should do that Right Now.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hey peeps, if you want to see me on my honeymoon, take a gander:

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay for honeymoon pictures!

I wish I had one more weekend day. Today, instead of buying a bathing suit, I bought a winter coat. Ah well. I feel like I'm buying a ridiculous amount of stuff, but the fact is, I spent two years not buying any big-ticket items, and had gotten rid of most of my work clothes before going to grad school, so.

It doesn't seem like a ridiculous amount to me. One must be clothed appropriately for work, after all.

It's true. And seriously, I'm not replacing anything that's less than three years old.

The crazy thing is, I literally can't remember the last coat I bought retail. OK, this was from Loehman's, but still. Most recent coat: on sale at Target. Before that, at least four vintage/thrift store coats. None of these was more than $50, and that brings me back like ten years. Crazy!

So, what does your new coat look like?

To add a consumption post of my own, I just ordered this purse in dark blue for my Autumn stuff-carrying needs. [link]

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I slept late, and now feel like I lost my whole day, BUT I need the sleep and my back and leg muscles were in revolt and and and. still, nothing is getting done in my place this weekend.

If I really motivate I might get the litter boxes cleaned and the living room vaccuumed.

Nurturing a lifelong love of science

"Learning is not a spectator sport," he said. "To really master something, you need to get in there and do it."

Ah, this makes me happy. A rocking idea, class and (shameless) my unca is a part of it. Go Team Science Learnin'.

The new coat is light blue and black tweed, with some pleats like at the bottom, and a belt, and it's FAB. Also got good justification from my mother, who pointed out I should be upgrading my look for my new job.

Nice bag! I need one of those, too.
