You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Quiet weekend here. Watch my tape of the Stargates, finally get to see POTC2, pack for WorldCon...(Ok, we're not leaving until Wed., but G's got a brief business trip this week which he leaves for Monday night and we decided it was easier to load as much as possible into his car before he left.)

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ah.

Well, I just got a diet paycheck from Saturday job. The timeclock fucked up and didn't clock me in on 7/29. My check on the 2nd was short a day, I emailed and called and left note (also told my boss when it happenedon the 29th). Got my check just now that should have had the 29, 5, 12 on it.

Nope.

Just the 5th and 12th. Color me aggravated.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, that's the worst.

The exterminator just came, and told me to keep my cat out of the kitchen for an hour or two. Of course there's no door on the kitchen, so I threw the cat in the bathroom, but I feel bad!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I saw Val's new apartment! She's got so much room, and it's nicely eccentric the way a city place should be, in the good way. And now I know how to get there!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think it's amusing that we worry so much about confining an animal that can sleep 20 hours a day, even temporarily.

We used to have to put Oz in the bathroom during mealtimes because he kept jumping up on the dining room table.

He eventually learned to stop doing that.

One sign the people have Too Much Money:

They leave their 30g video iPod in a rental car.

And never call about it nor come back to get it.

WTF??

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Maybe they don't know that's where they left it?

True fact. Of course, the truth is, my bathroom door is so fucked up, he was back out in ten minutes. And since I moved his food out of the kitchen, there was really no reason for him to go in there anyway.

Maybe. But still. It's been over a month.

I installed a suite of kitty noises for my Adium IM program, and now I find I'm looking around every time somebody logs on or goes offline....
