Pretzels, red liquorice, and any kind of cheese that doesn't stink up the car for too long. Plus Lucozade or the next sugariest drink equivalent.
What? I never said I was healthy...

I like salted nuts as snacks, and bottled water. While I love sweets, I hate things that leave my hands sticky, especially if I'm driving. So I tend to stick to the salt side of the snacking spectrum.
Veggie Wheat Thins Chips are my new favorite thing ever. I had these with bean dip (which I wouldn't recommend for a car trip), and I had a savorygasm.
Diet Red Bull definitely counts.
What is Locozade?
Car trip snacks:
Baby carrots, Nilla wafers, dried mango, wheat thins, cashews.
Those sound good Tom-- I will have to try them. Hey, did you get an email from me the other day?
I tend to do cheese and crackers that I eat in lieu of a meal while filling my tank at the gas station. I'm kinda one of those get-there-quickly people. I don't really snack on car trips. Water, sure.
did you get an email from me the other day?
Yeah, I'm just slacking.
When I was a kid we always had Peppridge Farm Brussels in the car on long trips. It's especially awesome when they melt.
Goldfish crackers and mini-bottles of club soda. Oh, and yogurt-covered (or chocolate-covered) raisins if you want something sweet.
The mini-bottles of soda are my favorite car thing EVER.
