Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How do you feel about bacon?

Too fondly to become Jewish, methinks.

There's an Asian instructor at krav who converted to Judaism. I love how he gets asked "Really converted?" And, yeah, I asked him too. Yeah, really. He's more observant than many of the practicing born Jews there.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My lunch BLT made with a tomato from my garden has reinforced my bacon love. Would it count if I only ate bacon when there were good tomatoes available?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Brad Bird's movies, The Iron Giant and The Incredibles have good mother-child dynamics.

Thanks, Tom! Iron Giant in particular focuses on a mom and son. In sum, Brad Bird Maybe Likes His Mom.

How are you feeling?

Hey, I just discovered that the actor who plays MacBeth in S2 of Slings and Arrows is the guy from Forever Knight.

Also, Sarah Polley is in S3.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had a disappointing cupcake last night. Sad, really.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

How are you feeling?

Not 100%, but a whole lot better.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

{Beverly and family}

the guy from Forever Knight

Geraint Wyn-Davies?

I'll be able to get to work on the bus within a half hour, but to get to the grocery store less than a mile away from me? Two transfers and I hour.

I'd forgotten how walking adverse the folk in KC are. Get some cloth shopping bags or a granny cart and the walk will be pretty easy.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Hey, I just discovered that the actor who plays MacBeth in S2 of Slings and Arrows is the guy from Forever Knight.
Who?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I'd forgotten how walking adverse the folk in KC are. Get some cloth shopping bags or a granny cart and the walk will be pretty easy.

Did I mention the walk is a mile up a huge hill and it's 100 degrees today? And I don't have the money or any way to get to a place that sells the shopping bags or granny cart?

Plus, I am hideously lazy and my knee is going out. I'm just going to snag a ride from a friend.

Always Anti-fascist!

Gus, I would talk about "Brotherhood", if I'd ever seen it. I'm sad that I can't, but we're not getting more cable. Do you know this town is so boring, at one time it had a99% cable retention rate? Yeah, the only person talking about the vibrant cultural life is probably a paid consultant. What's a ganache?

brillig

Mulan is interesting, because Mulan has both parents and a grandmother still alive and kicking, plus she runs off to war because she can't stand to see her parents have to say good-bye to each other. Plus, the girl gets to kick butt physically, instead of just being clever and having access to magical thingies--though that certainly helps Mulan.
