Gus, I would talk about "Brotherhood", if I'd ever seen it. I'm sad that I can't, but we're not getting more cable. Do you know this town is so boring, at one time it had a99% cable retention rate? Yeah, the only person talking about the vibrant cultural life is probably a paid consultant. What's a ganache?
Natter 46: The FIGHTIN' 46
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Mulan is interesting, because Mulan has both parents and a grandmother still alive and kicking, plus she runs off to war because she can't stand to see her parents have to say good-bye to each other. Plus, the girl gets to kick butt physically, instead of just being clever and having access to magical thingies--though that certainly helps Mulan.
Also, Sarah Polley is in S3.
Damn, I need to get on this bus.
What's a ganache?
A chocolate coating made by melting chocolate in heated cream. It's somewhere between frosting and pure chocolate.

... and heaven. Or Nirvana. Or Sto Vo Kor.

How have you not done so already? Was not Rachel McAdams in S1 (brunette, infinitely lovelier and more striking than her current generic blonde Hollywood incarnation) pointed out to you several times?
Also, Sarah Polley is likely in S3 because her dad has been a regular since S1 (half of the opening and closing songs duet, in fact).
S2 DVDs out in October; S3 to air in Feb. 2007. Can't. Wait.
S2 DVDs out in October; S3 to air in Feb. 2007. Can't. Wait.Sounds good, though at the rate I'm (not) going through Netflix disks, I won't even have seen S1 by October, and very possibly not by next Feb.
I JUST SAW A MOUSE POKE ITS HEAD OUT OF MY ***STOVE***.
It must have crawled up through the walls from the basement (there's construction going on down there, maybe they disturbed a nest)?
Ew ew ew ew ew.
Out of the stove???? Eeeeeeeeek!
It poked its head out from one of the burners (it's a gas stove, obviously), yep.
I made like a 1950's cliche and ran to the other end of the apartment, while DH bravely lifted up the top of the stove to see if it was still there. It's gone now, but we have no idea *where*.
[eta: And, of course, I was planning to clean the kitchen today. I still will -- if we've got a mouse hanging around, it means it NEEDS cleaning -- but I'm turning in my flipflops and boxers for closed-toed shoes and long pants.]
