It's called a blaster, Will, a word that tends to discourage experimentation. Now, if it were called the Orgasmater, I'd be the first to try your basic button press approach.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Crossing fingers emphatically!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Crossing digits for Scola's no-pain-having.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck, Tom!

Thunderstorms here totally knocked my internet out for a really long time! I did not like it! OK, possibly it was longer than it needed to be because I didn't think to physically unplug the modem for a while, but STILL. Phew.

Ayiyiyi! Glad you are better, Tom. My friend's poor husband had multiple passing outs from pain before they got him all fixed up, same thing.

I'm not a superior being (re: neighbors) I'm just a profoundly grateful one.

Whenever the crappy mgmt of the complex (like, still no hot water. Another bucket bathe and scream tomorrow morning! If only I knew how to light the pilot ) drives me to think about moving (or hell, homeownership) my pause is my neighbors. Can I take them with me?

Tonight I leant out my keys so another neighbor could access the laundry room. That probably earned me the..oh, fruit salad.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

there will be no more pain.

Betsy, so nice to see your font around again!

sarameg - your neighbors made my day. It would be better if someone brought me good food - but that's just a good thing.

I might even make a good dinner for me. I was thinking boreing.

There is no way in hell I can chose a favorite restaurant. that's insane. There are two back in Ct- neither of which has anything close out here. I have one chinese, 1 pho , one french , one vietnamese/american breakfast to dinner place, one italian and one mediterain( i give up - it looks wrong no matter what I do ) in my town. and I love to cook ....

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

No more pain for Tom. I still think it's ridiculous he had to suffer as long as he did.

If only I knew how to light the pilot

Not actually hard, and some water heaters have helpful instructions on them, or at least settings called "pilot." The trick is that you need to have a clicky stick fire thing.

t /called plumber twice before I realized the problem was that I just wasn't getting the flame back far enough

It's a monster boiler for 40+ units with locks I don't have keys to. So I can't do it. Alas. I'd be kind of freaked out to do it ,even if I had access. Not sure why it went out. Don't feel like going BOOM.

I do know how to relight my furnace pilot, though! It still scares me, in any case.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

So I went to my favorite restaurant tonight, and there's a flaw in the plan. Our fave waiter comps us drinks, right? So tonight we had a new waiter and our guy caught up with us just as we were paying the bill...and I'd had two margs and a little bit of Bob's. We caught up, he noticed we brought in some people last time we were here and wanted to thank us for bringing in business...now I'm three drinks and more into the hole.

ETA: Also, everyone who likes Arrested Development should give It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia a try; I just watched the first ten minutes of tonight's new one and am entranced. It's not for everyone but worth at least a look. It airs again in like, uh, eight minutes.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Hey ita, I'm writing something on astronauts vs. cavemen. I'm using Ellen Ripley as an example of astronaut/logic/ingenuity beating the thing operating on lizardbrain.

I have questions about skill vs brute force, and I think you're the woman to answer! Where you at? Head go 'splodey?
