Yikes Sarameg. I'd say your dad had a more exciting weekend than I did. Glad it ended up ok. Did they find the hikers?

Sheeesh, sarameg. So scary. I'm glad he's safe and sound.
As far as the gift thing, I guess I'll stick $50 in a "Have a good marriage" card and be done.
For perspective, this is the amount I spent on my cousin's recent wedding gift, as a combo gift from my parents and myself. With no additional shower gifts (or shower) ahead of time. The ONE time I've spent more than $40 or so on a non-relative's wedding gift, I was the Best Man.
Sophia, I don't know! I'm hoping it will not be traumatic. This is why I avoid social situations.
The comma should stay.
Concur. Comma stays. You're setting off a subordinate clause, and you have a comma at the beginning, so you need one at the end of the clause too.
"My mother, who is Ayn Rand, is into kinky concrete architechture."
The other hikers were found/met up with another team about 6 hours after my dad's team went in. Because of the terrain, turning back wasn't an option.
Beverly, lots of health vibes are coming your way, and any other kinds of ~ma you may need. Take care.
Beverly, I'm vibing at you and your family as hard as I can!
the authorities are a little jittery about unaccounted for crashed planes in that part of the country, if you know what I mean. Not mentioning that you lost a plane? Not generally big on the law abiding from what I have seen.
"My mother, who is Ayn Rand, is into kinky concrete architechture."It amuses me that most comma instructional sentences include Ayn Rand. And, occasionally, god. Mostly Ayn Rand though.
