So there is something I can do, besides scream like a woman?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

YAY for home. How is the morphine treating you?

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Glad you're home, Tom, and I hope the morphine makes it somewhat better.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Home is definitely good. JZ, you see if you can get some of that action, too.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Tom, so sorry for the horrible experience. I hope you're ok and that you've had good painkillers.

Happy Birthday, Married Lady Robin!!! Congrats!!!!!

Tom, sitting around in a busy ER with pain and vomiting sounds like one of my worst nightmares. Were you all by yourself? I just want to give you a big (v. gentle) hug, poor thing.

Anyone have experience with imitrex? Does it work for you, and if so, how well? I took it for the first time last night, and am not sure how well it worked...or if I used it right...or what...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Welcome back, Tom! Take it easy, okay?

My finger only hurts or bleeds when I use it. I plan to stop using it later today. At least for a little.

Meara, I use Imitrex. The keys to usage are to take the first pill as soon as humanly possible. If you can tell it's a migraine before the pain starts, all the better--it's best within the first half hour of onset. I find it works less often than its sibling Maxalt, but more completely.

Speaking of heads--mine's better than yesterday. It's all I'm willing to commit to right now.

On the up side...no dirty laundry in my house (well, once I put the drycleaning in the car, no dirty anything fabric). Delicates are drying right now. I've really disliked this weekend so far, but that's not inconsiderable at all.

Ann, that's a ferret.

((((Calli and family))))

Congrats, Robin and WBBF!

Happy Birthday, Robin!

Yay, Zmayhem!

Feel better, Tom!

And thanks for the birthday wishes!

(Whew! So much happens when you're offline for 45 hours.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Man, it is GORGEOUS outside here. Instead of being at the beach where I should be, instead I am doing a half-assed job of cleaning my house. Eh.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Belated Happy Birthday to Fred Pete!

Happy Birthday to Robin and Congratulations and Best Wishes to her and WBH!

Ease-ma and much lessening of pain to Tom.

And all continued good wishes to Hec, JZ, and the Halloweenie.

If you can tell it's a migraine before the pain starts, all the better--it's best within the first half hour of onset

Mm, hard for me--what tends to happen is a get a little headache, and I never know if it's goign to be "Oh, take some tylenol and you'll forget you had it at all" or if it'll just keep getting worse and worse until it's a migraine. I hate taking big drugs if it's not a bad headache, but... So yeah, might've worked better if I'd taken it sooner. As it was, it kinda kept it lowlevel for a few hours, but eventually wore off or something, and the nausea kicked in. (I got it in nasal spray form, because for me, migraines are all about the nausea, and pills would be a v. bad idea, especially if they wont' stay down!)
