Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

got morphine. nothing else is happpening.
Oh ouch! I really hope you are feeling better soon. And that you get doctors who only tell about ways they can help you now and not Monday. Sheesh. (( Scola ))

Meerkat Manor where we were twisting our handkerchiefs in concern
I must see this now!

Minus points for continuously mispronoucing Oregon as "Ora-gone."
Morons. Sorry, moro-gones.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, Tom, that sucks. The only real comforts are (a) morphine goooooood, and (b) when it passes, the lack of pain will leave you just about euphoric.

Billions of congratulations to the WBB on his sneaky, secret promotion.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes! What an eventful overnight.

Seriously.

Ow, Tom! I hope your stuff gets straightened out soon. At least if they can't fix you over the weekend, they can give you the good drugs.

Happy birthday and congratulations, Robin!! So exciting!!

JZ! How are you doing this morning?

Lee - Aug 06, 2006 5:27:29 am PDT #1056 of 10001
The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What Nilly asked! Is there anything I can bring you? I'll probably get up there about 1:00 or so.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh my goodness! Robin got married! Congratulations!

Also, shouldn't they be able to do an operation on the weekend? I mean, if Tom is in pain, and the operation or procedure will help, shouldn't a doctor get called in or something?

Hey hey, Nilly! I just got an email from my friend in Jerusalem with a letter she wrote to her hometown (US) newspaper in response to a column in there about Israel, and it was just fantastic. I think I'm going to forward it to you, because it seems like she has such a great perspective, being from the US but living in Israel.

Thanks, Jesse. I would really like to read that.

[Edit: a couple of weekends ago I was in Jerusalem, staying at a friend's place, and we were all joking about how it's the safest place to be in Israel right now, since nobody would try to target it, with all the places that Muslims hold as holy inside it. Funny, how things can change so quickly, since usually Jerusalem is one of the places most people are usually used to have the biggest problems with, in terms of security.]

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Great big owies in your direction, Tom! 4MM doesn't sound like much until it tries to go through a 3MM space, I expect. My sincerest commiserations!!!

And now off to the MooTour -- taking pictures of all the CowParade statues (or at least as many as we can find) in Boston. Wish us good hunting of wily prey!

I hate that you have to have that gallows humor attitude, but I'm glad that you can have it.
