[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Although the apartment I'm hoping to have acquired by this time tomorrow is a studio apartment, and thus I can't offer you folks rooms, all my sofa bed are belong to you, should you wish.

Dibs!

Or heck, dibs on in the bed with Fay, and someone else can have the sofa!

Hugs to Scola.

My head is starting to hurt. This had better not be a migraine, is all I got to say...but if I take the migraine meds and it's just a regular headache, how will I KNOW???

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I was, but now I can't.

Bummer.

It looks like the Colton is running about twice what Sparky's co-worker got. Apparently there's some big race in town that week. Gah!

edited to clarify that the bummer is that Lee isn't coming, not that meara has dibs on Fay's couch.

If I only had a brain...

If you take a triptan for a regular headache, it won't do a damned bit of good.

If you take fiorinal for a regular headache, what the hell, they're cheap.

If you wait too long to take the migraine meds, THEY WON'T WORK.

Take the frelling med.

Our wings are not tired

Drew, how long have you been in that apartment? I think CA has a law if you've been there at least two years they have to repaint at their own expense. You might want to check that.

I've been there about 18 months. You are correct that I don't have to paint, it's more of a preventative thing. I'm going to patch the holes I made in the walls and then paint the walls so that they don't show. It's more of a way to make the place look sparkly. If it looks shiny I'm more likely to get my deposit. If there's even minor work to be done landlords have a million ways to eat away at the deposit check.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

KRISTIN:

Do I remember that you started an LJ for teachers, or am I smoking monkey crack? If so, can you tell me the name of it? EDIT (Not the name of the mcrack, the LJ. Doh!)

Thanks!

And hey -- how was your first day? Impressions?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Betsy really does give good advice. I should take it myself.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

billytea has arrived. I took him out to eat meat on a stick.

We come home and found Tales From the Far Side (the animated special) in the mail. I took Emmett out to play catch and returned to find JZ and billytea laughing like two respective drains at animated zombies.

Emmett and billytea are now playing Star Wars chess. There's a little trash talk going on, but mostly with french accents.

We're deep into a geeky evening. Oh yes, and we already watched Meerkat Manor.

Emily is on her way from her interview. I'll give her a vodka tonic on her arrival. Later Juliana gets here.

Then the ice weasels come out.

Comment overheard from the chess match: "Well who wouldn't want a Red Sox onesie?"
