Drew, how long have you been in that apartment? I think CA has a law if you've been there at least two years they have to repaint at their own expense. You might want to check that.
I've been there about 18 months. You are correct that I don't have to paint, it's more of a preventative thing. I'm going to patch the holes I made in the walls and then paint the walls so that they don't show. It's more of a way to make the place look sparkly. If it looks shiny I'm more likely to get my deposit. If there's even minor work to be done landlords have a million ways to eat away at the deposit check.
kitty snubbed last can of cat food that i could barely open. brat
Betsy gives good advice
KRISTIN:
Do I remember that you started an LJ for teachers, or am I smoking monkey crack? If so, can you tell me the name of it? EDIT (Not the name of the mcrack, the LJ. Doh!)
Thanks!
And hey -- how was your first day? Impressions?
Take the frelling med.
Betsy really does give good advice. I should take it myself.
billytea has arrived. I took him out to eat meat on a stick.
We come home and found Tales From the Far Side (the animated special) in the mail. I took Emmett out to play catch and returned to find JZ and billytea laughing like two respective drains at animated zombies.
Emmett and billytea are now playing Star Wars chess. There's a little trash talk going on, but mostly with french accents.
We're deep into a geeky evening. Oh yes, and we already watched Meerkat Manor.
Emily is on her way from her interview. I'll give her a vodka tonic on her arrival. Later Juliana gets here.
Then the ice weasels come out.
Comment overheard from the chess match: "Well who wouldn't want a Red Sox onesie?"
Raises hand.
The conversation started on a review of the A's onesie, actually.
Emily is here and she's been given a drink. The interview went okay.
She brought billytea a present from Paxton's Gate. I am extremely disappointed to report that it was not a raccoon's penis bone.
