'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I hope the Zmayhem baby shower is going swimmingly.

It was fun. Well attended and chatty as we tend to be. Imagine a buffet of Trader Joe's snacks topped off with cake, coffee and champagne drinks (mimosas and bellinis).

P-Cow took a bunch of pictures which he'll be sending to me.

Folks were sent off with white onesies and envelopes and told to personally decorate them and send them back.

Tomorrow billytea gets in.

Love this idea.

Hmm, perhaps to do for P as apparently that whole getting a baby thing means she also gets a shower...

Zee billytea is with you until Wed a.m.?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think the shower went well. I had fun, at least, though I think I may have used up all my social for a few days.

Whoops. Backed up my pictures and videos, resorted and cleaned a mess of them up and then rescanned.

Who's got a kitten on me rescanning the old backup as well? Cause I think that's what I did. (My clue? Watching lots of Buffy and Angel eps going by when I trashed the files due to dvd-age.)

Oh well, there's room on the drive and I have one more pass to make and then The Defrag of Defragging shall come to pass. In theory. Or a nap. Might be a nap.

Oh, I neglected to mention that a bunch of Buffistas kicked in to get us a super deluxe car-seat and also a Baby Bjorn. Either that or just the pictures of said items.

So many thanks to DXM, Betsy, msbelle, Kristin, ND, vw, Ginger, Corwood, Emily, Jilli, Ple, Deb, Teppy, Maria, Sue, Tina, Juliana and Lee for that.

Also we got many fun individual items from people like Sail and Sparky. P-Cow brought us Moral Compasses for the baby: What Would A Pirate Do ("Maroon a Scallywag") and What Would A Ninja Do ("Unleash Fury") spinners. You will be shocked to hear that somebody brought us baby clothes covered in the A's logo.

Lee gave us Pooh based fun stuff, and of course, organized everything with JZ's friend Lisa and Suzi. Many many thanks to them.

I'm eating some of Deb's cinnamon cake now. Mmmmm.

Mostly lurking...

I'm watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. I'm all choked up.

Damn that Emily. She'd never let me watch this. But, she's not here to stop me, so I can't turn it off.

That was from the people listed as well.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

P-Cow took a bunch of pictures which he'll be sending to me.

There are 44 pictures on their way to you right now. ETA is 18 minutes, 35 seconds, according to YSI. I would say about a fourth of them are really nice. Okay, maybe a fifth.

Howdy, buffistas!

I went to the Indiana State Fair yesterday. It was fun, but I ate and ate and ate wayyyy too much bad stuff (all of this was split with my friend Farrah though): corn dog, ear of corn, apple cider slushie, duck bratwurst, cup of milk, deep fried chocolate covered strawberries (with whipped cream), an elephant ear, another ear of corn, another cup of milk, and then the kicker: deep fried battered hohos on a stick.

Then we went to the movies to see Snakes on a Plane and had soda and popcorn.

Then we stopped at Steak n Shake for shakes.

Is it any wonder I've felt like puking all day?

Also, my computer HATES me. Right now it's refusing to believe I have an AirPort card. Which...I've had it for two and a half years. WTF?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hec, send me your address. I can't find where I last put it. I need to send sprog stuff.

I did have fun kicking people. I went in to fight external licensees taking their blue belt test. Always fun, because they're tired from a day of having their asses whupped, and you're relatively fresh.

My auras are very simple. I get a line of white on the very outside edge of my vision, and a ball of white light runs up and down that. It's just like what happened after I lightly detached a retina a gazillion years ago, so I thought that was what happened despite not having been hit in the eye.

I soon tied it to migraines instead, but I've been having migraines for almost thirty years now, and the auras just showed up a few months ago.

You guys with the occlusion of vision--egads. I'm so glad (knocking wood) that mine produces not much more than stimulus to whip my head around to catch the flicker--if I haven't realised what it is yet.
