[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sorry-- should have said "No email or phone", since I don't count the phone as in person either, and Vortex definitely has a good point about the phone fear issue. If you think that would still carry over to in person discussion ( eta or feel you shouldn't wait -- I got delayed in posting), then email is the best bet, but I still think face to face is generally better.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I don't know, I think at this stage in the game I'd rather be emailed, because damn, I would hate being on the receiving end of that conversation, and I'd run a giant chance of crying and hating myself and whatnot. Email is kind of cold, but, whatever, I can forward the email to my friends and mock the dude forever. Or until I feel better. I don't think F2F is required. Follow up is OK, I personally would shun it if attempted. But life goes on. Good to know sooner rather than later.

Gris, if email is the only way you have the conviction to do this a.s.a.p., then send the email.

I have to say, though, if I were the girl, I don't know if I'd want that followup phone call after the break-up email.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

YAY RAQ!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBET!!!

While I am kinda curious about how Emeline got her very own firetruck,

Em's new thing is "fire truck! fire truck!" whenever a big truck goes past our house or she sees one. Not always a fire truck, but if it's a big truck, it's a fire truck.

We have a gas station catty corner from us. They got a deliver of Bud Light yesterday around 4:00 and when the truck was leaving, he misjudged his angle and knocked over the fire hydrant. HUGE geyser of water for about an hour. After it was all over, the (very hawt) firemen were packing up their truck to go, and I asked if I could bring her over to see the truck. Naturally, they said yes and then said she could sit inside (I didn't even ask) but she was SO EXCITED. "Ooooh! Ooooh! FIRE TRUCK!!!"

She's so funny.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I think after one date, and meeting online in the first place, email is fine in this case. I know I'd rather get an email than a phone call, and being asked out on a second date just to hear it's over? No fun for anyone.

That's how I was conceived.

true, but that's what caller ID is for :)

Now tagless for your comfort.

I agree. Technology is starting to take place of a lot of personal interaction (for good or bad) so I think in this case, an email would be ok. And a follow up phone call would be nice, too.

I forget about that, since I don't have it on my home phone.

Yay, Raq!

Happy Birthday, Debet!

Hilarious Em!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Thanks, Aimee (eta: and Sparky). I'm going out for lunch and having pie. Not yet, but that's the plan.

Where I'm from, there's volunteer firefighters, so, really, there's a chance that any truck could be a fire truck!

I have no opinion on the best way to end a relationship.
