[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yup, Worcester. I have no idea about Manchester. I have never considered it as an option before.

I think I might just call the nice travel agent who has helped me in the past and have her track the flights for me, so I don't drive myself crazy(er).

ETA: According to Google it is 78 miles, so not really an option.

10.5 hours of work today. Am flopped at home. DH and K-Bug are taking CJ to my dad's for me. He is spending the night and then going to the Tacktile Dome at the Exploratorium tomorrow. I'm such a bad daughter for not taking CJ myself so I can see my dad.

Lee - I slept in until noon yesterday. So I missed out on see y'all, but I also missed out on a sunburn, so yay?

I have nothing to say about infant and toddler nutrition. 2-3 pages should be a breeze for me.

According to www.kayak.com, United has a $335 flight in that time period, sj. The fall sales haven't kicked in, though. If it were me, I'd keep checking back for an under-$300 fare until four weeks out, because the odds are that airlines are going to be drumming up business because of the recent unpleasantness.

Thanks, Ginger. I will keep looking. I really appreciate everyone being so helpful.

Can anyone Nilly me the article over the problem with the picture of the breastfeeding child on the cover of the parenting magazine from a few weeks ago?

ETA: Nevermind. Found it.

ETA2: Paper done with 1 hour and 15 minutes to spare. Night!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Thank you all so much for the help on the baby registry / basic lists of What Babies (And Their Adults) Need.

I just got home from Pamela's. Julia is wonderful and amazing. We created a baby registry, designed and ordered the baby announcements, ordered some pictures of the happy family to enclose in the announcement, worded an email annoucement for those who might not realize that P and DH were planning to adopt, chose colors for the baby's room, held, fed and snuggled the wee one and generally fawned over her and hung out.

The posts here were an enormous help and Pamela wanted to be sure I thanked you all. Buffista advice and suggestions are gold star to her (and me, but this isn't about me) and she really appreciated all of the help.

I think I am going back over there tomorrow. I am such the happy aunt today.

When I left, Pamela and her DH were sitting and just in awe of their new daughter. I admit I cried a little again. They have wanted this so badly and are going to be wonderful parents.
