You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Sorry Jess, Bev... Left for the hospital shortly after my last post this morning.

Sean, how is S doing?

She's better, and home now. Whether this takes care of everything for good, it's hard to say. We'll be having follow-up visits with the doctors in a couple of weeks.

And with that, I'm off again.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

She's better, and home now.

That's great news! Based on your post in Beep Me, I'll retune the vibes to insurance-paying-for-it-all-ma.

Trust my rage

Ellie is currently somewhere around 18 lbs, 8 oz. They weighed her on Wednesday, but with her clothes on. So far, no one has said anything to me about her weight. She's not short, but she is very thin. I try to give her stuff with lots of fat in it, but it doens't seem to stick to her. ION, Ellie fell in the pool today. THankfully Joe was right there. I didn't even see it.

Bev, I'm glad to hear StE is doing better. You are all still in my thoughts!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

eek, Stephanie! I'm glad she's ok. This is the pool in your yard, right?

Just got a new room... the one we were in last night had an incessant humming noise. Also, ate Thai food. here's hoping the spicy soup does its magic.

Glad that S is home. Stay healthy S!

Mostly lurking...

I have even more respect for parents tonight.

I have J's girls over for a sleepover. It is damn hard work. They keep fighting and can't agree on anything, including a movie. E, who is 11, wanted to get Hannibal. Um...over my dead body. I don't care if you think your mom would let you watch it, you ain't watching that and getting nightmares on my clock! We finally agreed on Last Holiday. Then they fought over who gets to sleep on the air mattress (their mom was supposed to bring another air mattress, but must have forgotten). Oh, and they eat like they've never seen food! It's craziness, and I'm exhausted.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yeah, borrowing other people's kids is always... interesting, isn't it, vw?

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Between all the talk of kids here today and interacting with my coworker's twin boys at a picnic today (they're good kids, but.... you know, 6), I've determined that I'm scared out of my mind at the possibility of being a mom. I don't know how people do it.

Since I'm probably not going to get married, though, I guess I don't need to worry about it.
