Harmony: Somebody remembered to pick me up the sweetest unicorn. Guess someone was feeling guilty for standing me up in tenth grade. Brad: What? Had to get her something. She sired me. Peaches: Sire-whipped.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have a hair appointment for two weeks from Thursday. I went through a bunch of magazines are Barnes and Noble today trying to find the color red I want and I have no idea what to do about the cut. I have never been to this person before, so it should be interesting.

{{{Beverly}}}

Health~ma to S and calming ~ma to Sean.

{{{Calli}}} I'm so sorry for your loss. Much ~ma to you and your family.

GC, a linebacker is the last word I would think of to describe you. You look fabulous.

It has been further established that the Halloweenie is extremely camera shy, and will in fact flip over on her head and dangle her legs over her face when confronted with any kind of imaging device.

Awww. She's already being adorable and she isn't even here yet. Yay for a good health report!

What -t said, vw. If she questions you, tell her that you haven't moved out but decided to save the money and use your cell phone for the rest of the month as your primary line. And then tell her I said, "PFFFFT!"

This.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Calli, deepest sympathies on your loss. Strength and peace to you and your family.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Ellie actually was diagnosed with pretty severe thrush today. It doesn't prevent her from eating out, but "We had to take her to the dr. today" sounds pretty good.

OUCH! Is she still nursing? Cause that can suck for you, too. Good luck clearing it up.

I thought life ended with marriage.

That's a myth, actually. Studies have shown married people get more sex, live longer and are healthier in general. Sorry. But unmarried folks get to go out more and don't have to deal with someone clipping their toenails in the living room or not rinsing the dinner dishes.

Grrr. I had an unpleasant afternoon, but I vented in LJ so I'm going to let it go, now.

I will tell you that DH bought a full-sized van as a camping and touring vehicle, for an absolute steal of a deal, and is completely besotted with it. I'm happy for him being so happy. We went for a ride today, as a distraction.

It rides like a Greyhound bus. Which, cushy and roomy, okay. But not my sort of thing. I like to drive, I'm a good driver, and I like a small, responsive, nimble vehicle that will slip in and out of tight spots, evade behemoths and move when I ask it to. The van? Not so much. In an effort to summon some affection for it, I called it Bertha, because...big, but also, it has a berth in the rear.

DH said, "We could always just call it Van."

Morrison!

Johnson!

Helsing! Ding ding ding!

"This is my Van, Helsing."

Happy happy birthday, Aimée!!

I've ... lost track of everyone that needs sympathy and ~ma. I know I'm wishing extra strength for Bev, Sean + S, and Calli.

I wore pants today for the first time in... thinks... a very long time.

waits for Jilli to swoop in

Trousers?! Crazy person. It's like I don't even know you. Except for that I have a cute girly punk-rock-ish top to send you, and going to figure out how to teleport into your closet and borrow the LS jacket.

In me me me news, could someone please make my work deadlines stop multiplying? Pretty please? I'll invite you to a tea party with Clovis and JessicaKate and everything!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sunil, with what you're saying about figuring out budget stuff with the new apartment and everything, you might want to check out The Money Guide for the Young, Fabulous, and Broke by Suze Orman. (I might have the title slightly wrong.) My older sister recommended it to me, and I found it pretty helpful in figuring out budgeting and good credit card decisions and stuff like that.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Thanks for the tip, Hil! I'm really not broke, per se, but I don't want to become broke.
