sj! Nice to see you this morning. I have work to do, tell me to go do it.
I would say stay and play with us, but I actually have to go call my therapist. He is going to do a phone session with me so I don't have to kill anyone this week.
{{{Nora}}} I think car repair people should have to eat the cost when they don't call first to see if you want repairs done.
Happy Birthday Aimee!
That is good news about StE. That is much faster than are friend C. I'm hopeful.
ans the only thing I can say Nora is that it will make the car more resellable. but if you need meto smack someone , I will.
Nora! I can't believe that they did the job without consulting you!
Because I would so do w/o the AC - of course, I am a carless woman who lives in an apartment w/o AC.
Oh, it's the car A/C? I tak back some of my pollyannaness - for some reason I was thinking it was the house A/C and the car issue was separate. My bad.
I think car repair people should have to eat the cost when they don't call first to see if you want repairs done.
I believe this is actually THE LAW.
But you'd need that A/C fixed sometime, right? And nothing's gone wrong on the car, yet.
I don't know. We have a good chance of buying another car if something huge goes wrong on this one. Also, I really think of AC as a luxury. But Tom's the one who drives the car and deals with the mechanic so I really don't have much of a say in this.
It's just my same old impotent rage at feeling like I'm being screwed.
I believe this is actually THE LAW
Really? I'm owed a lot of back money then. Now I always say about twenty times, "You're going to call before you do anything, right?"
there's some sort of consumer protection I think. Maybe I'm on crack though.
Oh, yeah. There is TOTALLY consumer protection like that. You go after them, Nora! That's awful.
Happy, happy birthday, Empress! With extra cake and sparklies!
Ugh. Class I was REALLY looking forward to this fall has been canceled. Now I'm trying to figure out something else that will fit into my schedule, and it's not pretty. I've got two choices, basically: an entire class on Virginia Wolf or Language and Literacy. Here's the blurb about L&L:
A study of the theories of literacy, in its relation to human thinking and to social uses and contexts; and of the practice ofliteracy, in the teaching, learning, and use of literate behaviors in contemporary American society. The course links the active investigation of literacy issues with related readings, and draws implications for the teaching of reading and writing and for the study of literature.
I guess it could be interesting. Gonna have to call the English office and find out which requirements it fulfills.
Blech.
