Bev, it's so good to hear from you, love. You keep on hanging in there, and we'll keep you in our thoughts.

Toto slept on the bed with me all night last night, which is unusual. Usually, at some point he goes and sleeps on his own bed...I have a little independent guy. But it was nice to get his cuddles all night. Now he is Mr. Playful with his big, noisy football. I'm hoping the neighbors can't hear it!

Someone tell me to get off my butt and walk down to the pharmacy and buy a nail file and clippers. I keep breaking nails with all the unpacking and stuff, and I can't find my nail stuff (which is too bad since it's got a couple of my favorite nail polishes in it). So, I was considering just going for a manicure today. But, I really don't *need* a manicure. I'm just lazy.

What's the saying? Buy a woman a manicure, and she'll look pretty for a day. Buy her a clipper and nail file, and she'll look pretty for a lifetime. Is that it?

It's always the posts I don't check. Actually, that's not true. It happens in most of my posts--those I don't check just stay up longer to taunt me.

Ok. Toto's freaking me out.

He's pretty much been growling a low growl for the last hour, and he keeps jumping up on me like he needs something. I've taken him out twice. He's got food and water. I've given him treats. I've given him his meds (which he gets in peanut butter, so he loves it). I've tried playing with him. I'm out of ideas. Any other thoughts of what this could be?

vw, is it maybe a delayed reaction to being in a new place?

Maybe. But it's been a week. I kind of thought he'd gotten used to it.

eta: vw, sometimes it takes longer than a week. He may be reacting to a new smell or new sound that you're not even aware of. Garbage trucks, street sweepers, delivery trucks, another dog moving in somewhere else in the neighborhood; there's all sorts of stuff that could be routine-but-occasional that he just hasn't encountered here in the new place yet.
