Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The wedding announcement made me forget to say: Happy Birthday Robin!!!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Cass (and others), Tom checked in in Natter.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

He's got a kidney stone. Poor Tom.

Lee, lunchtime sounds good. I was figuring we could get some takeout and take it up to JZ and hangout while we eat. The hospital food is bleh, and we're allowed to bring in othr stuff.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Thanks, Lee!

I was behind in Natter and then we got a new thread and I still was behind so I never even sub'd to the new Natter... Thus I haven't been there in days. Time to threadsuck and skip.

pause

Why do I always threadsuck when I know for certain that I am going to skip anyway?

Sounds good. Should I swing by your place, or just go straight to the hospital? Emily will be meeting me there, though probably not until a little later.

I think maybe go to the hospital. That way you can hang out with JZ while I go get the lunch. It's more likely that I'll be up there anyway.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

The resident we met on Friday just came in and dropped a vague hint that I might be going home today, but that nothing was settled. So now I'm just waiting for her, or anyone, to come back and talk some more with actual details.

I got Ambien at midnight last night; after an evening of watching the Halloweenie's heart rate jump between 90 and 180, interpreting every twitch and twinge as incipient labor or placental collapse, and working myself into a state of quiet despair that I wasn't going to go home still pregnant and Hec would have to spend today running back and forth betwen the ICN and the recovery room and the phone....Ambien. And long, sleepy sleep, and a steady nonwobbly fetal heartbeat and the promise of a bath and maybe going home TONIGHT.

Can I change my vote from Matilda to Ambienna, please?
