"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Do you have rental as part of your auto-insurance?

It's partially covered, but not totally, so I decided to wait on the rental car until Monday, because I really can't afford the extra money right now. Better to have it for two or so days than five or more. Unfortunately, they can't even start working on the car until the claims adjuster sees the car on Monday.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm so glad there's no exciting news waiting here, about JZ.

Indeed, she's up and quite bored. She wants me to bring TV listings. Sleeping while hooked up to baby monitors with IV shunts in the back of your hands is apparently not the paradise of dreamland they advertised.

Poor, bored JZ. Is there any update on when she is supposed to get out of the hospital?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh, Ugh, sj. I hope you can get your car back quickly, and that the claims adjuster stuff goes well.

eta: oops-- got interrupted.

YAY for JZ being bored!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Thanks, Lee. I'm hoping they decide it was the ambulances fault and I don't have to pay the deductible to fix the dent.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Continuing the good ~ma for Zmayhem... glad everything's all right.

At least 24 hours after she stops bleeding. She's still spotting a bit, though it mostly seems to be stuff from yesterday's abruption rather than new bleeding. (The blood work tracks how much coagulant your body is releasing so they can tell whether you're still bleeding internally or whether this is old blood passing out of the body.)

Stop bleeding~ma. Hospitals are not relaxing places. I hope JZ can be at home resting soon.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Sleeping while hooked up to baby monitors with IV shunts in the back of your hands is apparently not the paradise of dreamland they advertised.

When she tries after a shot of Demerol and an epidural, I promise it'll be great.
