Because books.

Very good news on the Zmayhem front.

I had steroid shots with both boys (Jake because they were planning induction at 38 weeks, Ben because I went into preterm labor at 33 weeks), and as far as I can tell (aside from it skyrocketing my sugar, which is only an issue for a diabetic), there were no side effects at all. Good for them taking no chances.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I am becoming even more sure that steroids = miracles. Of course, I know that they can come with their own side effects but still just so amazing.

I'm getting the pig!

Calli, my sympathies. So much strength and peace to you and yours.

Yesterday was busybusybusy so I wasn't here for the unfolding drama. I'm just so very glad that wee teeny tiny Halloweenie has decided to stay put for a while. {{{JZ and Hec}}} Lots of Stay Put ~ma.

Calli, I was a little slow catching up. I'm so sorry about your mom. All peace and strength to you and yours.

We're off to the Renaissance Faire in a bit -- the one in Sterling, New York. I've heard commercials for it for years, but we've never been. Yay for jugglers, wenches, ale, and jousting.

What is even happening?

I'm so glad there's no exciting news waiting here, about JZ. I continue to get allergies thanks to the San Franciscans, and third Plei and Cashmere's motion for a 10/13 (minimum) birthdate for the Halloweenie.

In short, where are the donuts?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Gronk. My grandfather has seen to it that my car was moved from the mechanic to the body shop today. Love him. I am stuck here without a car. The mechanic portion of the car was $720, a hundred dollars more than they estimated for me yesterday. The good news is I didn't need a new transmission. They put the car on one of those diagnostic computers and it turned out to be a part that the transmission runs off of (can't remember the name). They replaced the one tire with the bubble in it, and I probably should replace the rest next month. Monday, I'm going to find out what is happening at the body shop and then probably get a rental car.

Glad to hear the transmission is okay, sj, those can get very expensive to repair/replace.

Compassionately intolerant

Oh my, oh my. What a relief. Thanking all the powers that Halloweenie is staying put and JZ is in good care. God bless your fortitude David.

Honestly, for a needle phobic to have to endure five tries for two IVs, plus blood-work three times, plus a rather painful steroid shot in the hip...well, she was brave little toaster is what.

Couldn'ta done it myself. I'm hugely impressed.

Oh my, oh my. Just blessings all around.

Cashmere, I hope you ironed your polo shirt, first. edited out, because that would have made so much sense in Natter, where Sue and Cashmere's posts live.

sj, yay for kindly grandfathers. I'm sorry you're having so much car trouble all at once. Do you have rental as part of your auto-insurance?

It's partially covered, but not totally, so I decided to wait on the rental car until Monday, because I really can't afford the extra money right now. Better to have it for two or so days than five or more. Unfortunately, they can't even start working on the car until the claims adjuster sees the car on Monday.
