I'm sorry, Fay. It's funny, when you were first talking about going off on other international adventures, I remember thinking, "But why isn't she doing them with her flatmate?" - because it was obvious you had both gotten so close.

But I totally get the letting-go-of-stuff. You're choosing and exercising your freedom now, and non-attachment is not just the Buddhist path to enlightenment. It's how it has to be. For now, anyway.

At some point, in some country you'll have a perfectly adorable little Fay cottage done up slightly mad and thoroughly fab with kittens in your garden where you can take tea.

I can imagine a Fay cottage - kitties, shinies, and lots of books. And probably low ceilings, so if Pete comes to visit he won't be able to loom properly.

I have taken a hair dryer to a frozen A/C unit. Then again we get quite desperate about these things here.

Yeah, well, it's 90 here today, which to me, is HOT. Fortunately, the unit in the living room is working just fine. I'll just hang out out here till it defrosts.

Finally finished my overdue audit this morning! Now the only (frighteningly huge and loomish) thing hanging over my head is my Business Law Class. 14 chapters to go by 7/1! Whee!

Just finished the last of the celery in the ziplock baggie I bought off the truck. Rewarding myself with carrots from same baggie. Does that seem right to you?
