Peace~ma for Teppy and family.
My dad used to sing Taps every now and again in the evening. It would have killed me if they'd have thought to play it at his funeral.
ETA: all kinds of ~ma to Raq.
'Trash'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Peace~ma for Teppy and family.

All the ~ma ya need Raq. Banks are idiotic.
Apparently we are between two big fires and Redding is "base" for all the out of town fire fighters.
This could make for attractive scenery. IJS The fire fighters, not the fires. Fire bad. Fire fighters pretty. Well, fire pretty too, but not so much forest fires.
Enjoy the vacation vw!
Have fun Kristin & ND!
It's raining. My fireplace chimney leaks. Knocking it down and building a new one is on the list. The rain is peaceful. I wanted to stay in bed, but I am still enjoying the sounds while sitting here kinda working.
Tep, if Ballad of the Green Berets was special to him, I say go for it, dignity be damned. (My dad had The Maple Leaf Forever played at my mom's service, which to be honest would probably have made her cringe, but mostly in that "what an incredibly loving and yet completely embarrassing thing to do" sort of way.)
Much health~ma to you, Raq.
Steph, I hope the funeral and family interactions go as well as possible. I expect we'll be playing "Amazing Grace" at my Mom's funeral, eventually, too. It's a beautiful hymn.
My maternal grandmother wanted me to sing her favorite hymn ("Just As I Am") at her funeral. But I took her death (I was 17 at the time)pretty hard and was in no shape to sing in public. Even so, most of the family had to work until about 2 hours before the funeral to talk me out of it.
Raq, health~ma.
Teppy, continued ~ma for you and your family.
Teacup Guy and I are headed to Newport for the day. I am hoping it doesn't rain, because I am looking forward to eating outside.
Why have NONE of my dissertation supervisors been in for a fortnight? Hm? And why won't they answer emails? I have run out of things I'm capable of doing on my own and am now, you've guessed it, just wasting time on the internets.
edited beause this keyboard makes me type funny.
Woo Hoo!
LONDON, England (Reuters) -- Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will strip off for his London stage debut as a psychologically disturbed stable boy in "Equus".
Special hell, here we come!
Daniel Radcliffe. Equus. Daniel Radcliffe. Equus.
A bit extreme, but definitely an effective way to avoid typecasting.
Mmmm, I love that play.
I have a tattoo questions. Suppose you saw a person with a tattoo of a Viking ship on her hip. Would your first thought be:
a) Norse invasion! Blood! Violence! How dare she glorify that!
b) Nice lines. Viking long boats are cool. What? Yes, I was looking at the ship.
c) Why is this person showing me her hip and tattoo?
d) Who cares—yay skin!
d) I wonder what symbolic value she's attaching to that image?
e) I wonder if she got Hep. C from the tattoo needles?
f) Let's make out!
