Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why do you people all answer your phone so much?

Because it rings. That's why I have one.

But I do get very few telemarketing calls, so when the land line goes off, it's probably either of my best friends or my parents.

The status is NOT quo.

I t heart "weasel telemarketing". It's my new favorite phrase.

Speaking of hair, ND's is now partially blue. He's so punky!

I'm getting the pig!

Yay! What did you end up putting in it, and how did it turn out?

After I rinsed the Colorfix, it was a *very* pretty strawberry blonde shade... very pretty on someone else, that is. I tried the light ash brown color after a night of deep conditioning but I got a tad anxious about leaving the color on too long and rinsed too soon. I guess. It was really light and I didn't hit the roots well enough, either. BUT - on Sunday morning, after more conditioning, I added a cool medium brown shade and now it's an all over medium brown. Perfect!

This may be the closest I've ever been to the color of hair I had back before I first started coloring it.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I should be doing homework. I don't wanna! I just don't care about the null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis, the alpha, the beta. Can it be August 10 now, please?

I got new nephew photos. He is friggin' adorable. I'm going to see him and my niece in August! Can't wait for baby hugs!

OK, since people are talking about coloring their hair. I'm thinking I should start coloring mine - there's a LOT of white in it and I've started looking for another job ... and I think that white will emphasize my age. So ... I'd have it done professionally - the guy who's been cutting my hair for years does color - but I'm nervous about it. How often do you have to color the roots? my hair grows FAST.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I have to say, Toddson, that I love your hair the way it is. It is very striking and very...how you say? Chic. It complements your complexion and features so well, that I'm having a hard time imagining it any other way. Not that you shouldn't color it if you really want to, but my very humble opinion that you should leave it.

But I get your concerns.

I'm getting the pig!

Red is the most difficult to maintain. While it was red, I think I was doing a touch-up on the roots every 3 weeks. Sometimes less.

Normal root touch-up is usually anywhere between 4 - 6 weeks, depending on your hair.

Aimee, thank you. I actually like it ... but I need to get a new job and haven't really been in the market for a long time.

I was thinking of something less adventurous - a shade or two lighter than my natural very dark brown, maybe a little red in it. I did learn not to do it myself, remembering what happened last year, but I think I may need to. At least until I GET a new job ... then I could let it come back in again.

move out and draw fire

What Aimee said, Toddson.

The grocery store near me now sells Fernet Branca. It's shelved between the Jaegermeister and the ouzo, which is probably correct.
