[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hmm, from Alaska? Probably not. Given the time change and all. Guess you'll just have to come visit and I'll make another cake!

I'm probably heading east in the spring. But honestly, no cake is necessary. Meeting new East-istas sounds much better than the bestest cake.

Toto is totally not sure what's going on here. He keeps going and checking in Emily's room and jumping up on the platform and just lying there looking very sad. I don't know what to do for him. I keep giving him lots of treats, but I don't think it's helping.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Because I won't lend money to someone who I didn't know existed an hour ago, much less fuck them.

wouldn't have lent money to any of the guys who fell into the category.

I think it's accurate to say that although I don't get around much, I have been known to employ gusto when I do. And, honestly, it's so much easier to sleep with a guy before you know each other than after.

If you're me.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Aw, he misses her too. Are you giving yourself treats as well? Cause bug's need treats too.

And, honestly, it's so much easier to sleep with a guy before you know each other than after.
Yep. And those don't tend to be any of the things I have regreted either.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I know I have less of a right to it than vw, but, goddamn, I'm sad that Emily's gone. Like, whoa. I am feeling quite bereft that she's gone. I don't have enough friends that they can be moving to the other side of the country all willy-nilly!

I have waited until now to admit this to myself as well as others because, um, you know, not about me and also this is good for Emily. But I am really, really sad.

Otherwise- today, instead of doing schoolwork, I decided I needed one day of total rest, in order to tackle the week ahead, because I'm moving into burnout territory, and I'm lucky enought to have the opportunity to take this day, so I did.

You know how when you're running around all crazy busy with no down time except to sleep you forget about all these crazy things called emotions and fears? And then when you have a second to breathe, they come back up from where you stuffed and suppressed them and you just cry and sleep all day? Yeah. That's my Saturday.

There was also some nice loving and a most excellent mussel extravaganza, so it was a day of many emotions and even though some of them were sad, that's OK.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

So, we are having a few friends over to celebrate my 50th birthday in a couple of weeks. It's a pretty big birthday, so I wanted something special, but I don't know what. I know I DON"T want decorations saying "over the hill" which seem to be a very popular item for this particuular milestone. BF is throwing the party, but welcomes input. I first thought of a white party--asking everyone to wear white, which looks very pretty, but it seemd a little forced. I thought maybe a theme of some sort, like 50's rock and roll, with record-themed stuff, but maybe that's too goofy. I just don't know. Anyone have any ideas?

Themes? You want themes?

Italian 50s! Ciao! Ciao! Go totally Fellini with a La Dolce Vita party. We'll get you the Anita Ekberg dress.

Beatnik 50s! Bring bongos and goofballs! Spontaneous and earnest poetry recitations. (See: Highschool Confidential, or just ask me to provide you stuff from my large collection of beatnikiana.)

Space Age Astro 50s! Everybody wears something shiny, pointy and futuristic. I can help with the cocktails (all of which should glow) and the music (space age bachelor pad music, 'natch). For my 32nd birthday party I threw a Cocktail Party on Mars. Everybody came in costume (including Francesca Lia Block). It was a big hit.

Hey Cash, still thinking about that pixie cut? Another glam pixe.

This one is for meara and Jilli.
