Oh, can Teacup Guy have some job~ma? It looks like they are getting down to a final decision on the job that he really wants and really deserves. They asked for writing samples last week and references this week. Those are good signs right? How good of an indicator is that that they are really interested in him for the position?

Heh. Sorry, it's upper level coffee. It's only for the highest level of coffee drinkers. To explain it to an initiate would compromise your safety, exposing you to illness, even pneumonia, and possibly death (it's entirely possible I've been reading too much about a particular cult this week—one which has no prohibitions on coffee drinking, as far as I can tell, and that might be the nicest thing I can say about it, so I'll end here).

I have no room to talk. This morning, while the coffee was brewing, I got out a plate and fork for cereal. I have cereal every morning, so it's not like I was preparing for eggs and bacon.

It must have stormed last night. How do I know this? Not because of the thunder and lightning it must have produced. Not because of the puddles of water in the streets. I know this, because in the middle of the night, my sweet little puppy dog was trying to jump up on my bed (he doesn't have enough running room to actually make it...I keep considering getting him some stairs, but that just seems silly). I heard his little paws hitting the side of the bed and woke up immediately, grabbed him and brought him up next to me where he cuddled into a little ball by my tummy and stayed there till the storm was over. Sweet boy.

It's weird, though. I can sleep through the phone ringing. I can sleep through the thunder and lightning. But, I hear his little paws on the side of the bed. Guess you're just trained for certain sounds.

I've poured the water right into the empty filter before, but I'm fairly sure I've never filled it up with chow.

This is why I usually try to get the coffee pot ready the night before. It's better for everyone involved.
