Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

'Just Rewards (2)'

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Now Nicole and Emmett are (a) Watching Tombstone, (b) doing all the lines out loud (c) shooting at the TV and each other with nerf dart guns. (At one point they ran out to the back yard to shoot at each other and she giggled, "This is fun! I never get to play with anybody at home." She's 18 as a matter of reference.) She's also teaching Emmett new and exciting phrases like "turdburglar" and "fartknocker."

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Just finished S1 of Slings and Arrows. Ok. So you really weren't lying. On the one hand, I can't imagine S2, because S1 is perfect. On the other hand, I want more NOW!!

I'm kind of scared to like this show this much. I know it has made it to S2, but now that I've discovered it, cancellation cannot be far behind.

There's a third season, I think, and that's it.

Well, I should be happy for three. And, as I said, S1 really does feel complete, even though I want to see more of these people.

eta: Thanks Hec, and everyone else who recommended this. Just outstanding.

Our wings are not tired

Anyone around? I'm bored stiff sitting in a rehearsal.

move out and draw fire

Yeah, we watched the fourth episode last night, and Robert started having nitpicks, which means he loves the show very much indeed. Then he spent about 20 minutes trying to find a Slings and Arrows webpage or fansite or anything.

I'm loving it just as much on rewatch, although the disappearance of Geoffrey's Theater Sans Argent crew is making me even sadder.

It just gets better on rewatch.

Season 2 is a whole different critter, but it's also wonderful. Lot of new characters, which I wasn't happy about on first watch, but came to appreciate on re-viewings. They do the Scottish Play.

You'll like the stage manager's rant about actors.
