Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

Well, you're only human. Would you believe I found that movie through fanfic? Valeria, my MunchenKay guru, wrote one called "Cinema for Cineastes" and listed it as a Munchkin fave. So I had to know, right?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Announcement: I am sweating balls.

Analysis: It is hotter than a monkey's ass outside.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Stephen Colbert would be in awe. Or aghast. One of those things.

Geneviève Page in Belle du Jour

Also the female lead in Billy Wilder's THE PRIVATE LIFE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES, which is an interesting foray into Holmes pastiche/revisionism. It gets a bit silly near the end (although it's decidedly not at the very end), but the cast is bloody marvelous.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Whoot! Hair guy called with a 4:15 cancellation. Back soon with new hair! Or actually less of the old hair, whatever.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Ok...Brenda - the board is not so patiently awaiting your new hair...

I'm on a quandry. We seem to have found a work around, I'm not done yet, so I'm afraid to say it too loud. If I'm done, then I can go to the tournament. But I'd almost resigned myself to not going and was kinda looking forward to having a day or two to do what I wanted (well, other than the work stuff). GAHHHHH.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

You know what? I love the fact that we're probably thinking of the exact same laundromat.

I love that too. I went to a couple of places, one on Airport in what I think is now called the Teddy Bear Mall, and the other I think was off of Geist.

And now I'm hungry for some of Sam's Sourdough sourdough pancakes. Yummmmmm.

Good, but for me it's always Food Factory mozzarella fingers (better than any others) and lemo-tea.

Okay, possibly. But not by much. Given that one of the houses on my mother's property is lacking running water, and we're less that 5 minutes away from UAF....

Granted. I was about 10 minutes away off Goldstream when I had no water. I think I had one neighbor with a gravity fed system, but no one else in the area had water.

lib, I like D.

I ended up showing about three pictures, and got a combination of them. It's not a wildly exciting cut, but I'm ok with it.

I also hit my sister in the head with a frozen turkey once. After the moose bit her.

Did you hit her on purpose, Aimee, or were you aiming for the moose? Also, the moose must have really been pissed. I've seen or heard of stompings galore, but I don't think I've ever heard of a moose biting someone!

Ok, it's mid-afternoon here. I have probably about 2 more hours of work, and I'm so tired! And I feel icky. I haven't been sleeping well the last few days. I finally figured out (in the middle of the night last night) that I had left the heat on when it was really cold a few days ago. My heat is noisy and, well, hot, so I kept waking up from noises and heat. Bleh. So, I'd go home, but I have a new person starting Monday, and really have to finish preparing. Sigh. t /whine

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

When you shower at a laundrymat, do you put in quarters? Or is it a flat rate thing?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Quandary indeed, Suzi. You've had so little me-time (that is to say, you-time. Suzi-time. not -t-time, though you haven't had much of that either) lately, I can see wanting to not be able to go to Stockton. OTOH, having work stuff not work is rarely really good.

In short, I got no actual help to offer, but I can validate that GAH.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Food Factory mozzarella fingers (better than any others) and lemo-tea.

Oh, TEH YUM. And now I miss sitting out on the FF deck at 1 a.m., eating mozza fingers & drinking beer and enjoying the light. ALSO! Hanging out on the deck at the Boatel and having people pull their boats up and start grilling fresh-caught salmon right then and there. (The Boatel's right on the river. It's a beached paddleboat. Hence the name.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What -t said, Suzi.

JZ and other local people, when you get a moment, could you look at my LJ--I just put up a house decor question.
