Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Thanks Jess for the Cute Overload link--I need to remember to go there more often...
One of DH's coworkers found my LJ. This is strange. Don't know where he tracked me back from a comment's page.
Eek, Cash. I hope it's a cool coworker?
I'm watching last night's So You Think You Can Dance right now, and I wonder how much if any they're allowed to discuss/change the choreography--because some of these, the issue I have isn't so much with the dancers, but the choreography. (I'm not a fan of the contemporary dance, even when I can see they're doing it well) I love watching it, though, because the dancer bodies are HOT. The girl who did "Promiscuous Girl" is not one of my favorites (though I do like her partner Musa) but she has an AMAZING body. Damn. (CabbagePatch Heidi is one of my least favorites). And the third judge? Needs to button up his shirt. The open-to-the-waist-with-long-necklace thing is nast. And this weird chopped-up version of Annie Lenox's "Why"??
I'm with several of you on the Aveda scent--it reminds me too much of bugspray (or possibly just of SkinSoSoft).
I've sewn my little brother to his bedsheets, dumped Tang on his very wet hair, and sat on his chest until he turned blue.
Sewn him INTO the bedsheets, or sewn him TO the bedsheets? Because the latter seems....painful.
I was not usually physically violent with my sister and brother, because I would just get in trouble--4 and 6 years younger, so I was bigger and should know better. But they were MEAN and EVIL! They NEEDED me to smack them around, and I didn't get to, so they were MORE evil!
LOOOOOOVE Gloomcookie's haircut! Dang! Sexy girl!
I'm getting a haircut tomorrow. I don't plan a big change, but it's a new stylist, so I thought I should provide pictures. And looking at the pictures, I thought: There's nothing that says that the cut
has
to be the same. So, I come to the Bitches for advice, keeping in mind that I'm not willing to spend lots of time in the morning. I have thin, fine hair with incorrigible cowlicks in front.
The original cut, along with pictures of the old, long hair: [link]

And I didn't mention GC's haircut because I was composing when she posted. I'm sure I would have noticed otherwise, because she's GORGEOUS and so is the cut.
Pretty hairs!
I need a trim and a color. Actually, I need the time...it is gonna have to wait until mid-August. Hec - I just may be asking you for Fay's stylist by then.
It is HOT in San Jose. I had to leave practice and come down to Starbucks to get access...too much work to do (my stuff is still a mess).
CG is SMOKIN' HOT! WOW.
Eek, Cash. I hope it's a cool coworker?
He is, actually. If anyone found it, I'm glad it's him. He's a left-leaning liberal and has a very dry sense of humor. It's just sort of weird him finding me through another buffista's LJ--the world seems so tiny to me now.
Every laundromat in AK that I've been in had showers. Necessary when half the population doesn't have running water.
juliana's making me glad I never lived in Alaska.

It seems to me that they probably can't change it. I do always feel sorry for the people that get stuck with boring routines. As for the discussion/critique of the choreography, I'd say there must be a muzzle on the judges after Brian's "I'm not going to comment on that" response.
And I'm with you on contemporary. One reason I do like this show however (besides the pretty people) is that I feel I've learned a lot about technique and appreciate various styles much more.
People in Anchorage and Juneau mostly have water. It's those granola hicks in Fairbanks! And, um, the bush. But half might be a (slight) exageration.
Signed,
A former granola hick from Fairbanks who has decided that she likes electricity and running water.
Am home. Laundry is laundered. Just gained an hour of down time thanks to friends' delayed plane. I shouldn't be happy, but I really am. Of course I also should use this found hour to clean out the fridge and run to the grocery store to buy a couple of odds and ends, but I don't know if I have the energy. At all.
Motivation, meet exhaustion.
Yay laundry. I'm jealous of Kristin able to go to the laundromat and post, but I figure the LAST thing I need is more internet connectivity in my life, really...
With the choreography, I was partly thinking of Heidi and her partner, who I didn't feel had much connection with each other...but who weren't choreographed to be doing much together or looking at each other, so it would be hard for them to smolder, ya know?
Nice hair. I've been trying to call Jack (my hair guy) for the last two weeks, but it's been so crazy.
We locked my sister in the dog crate once, and then couldn't get the lock open.
I painted eyes on my brother's ceiling with glow in the dark paint.
That's all I got right now, but my sister could probably tell you lots more.
"Are any of you bleeding? Are you all still conscious? Yes? Then work it out amongst yourselves." If she were feeling more generous, she'd add, "You need to learn how to work out differences with people. Now's the time to practice. Go."
Reminds me of my brother's experience with the Russian Coast Guard after the boat he was on for an office party got caught in high seas and then rammed the pier so they couldn't dock.
"How many dead?"
When the answer was none, they declined to assist.
