'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, here's a picture of what I'm thinking about, kind of.

Except maybe a bit shorter and still with bangs. I don't look good without bangs.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I don't think so if you are talking angled - but I used to think shorter hair made my face look huge -- turns out that really, only a close cut ( pixie cuts my mom used to give me ) did that.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Aw, man, beth, I totally need a bunny. It just feels like now, with a sprog on the way and an apartment that's just about too small already with only three humans in it, would be a spectacularly bad time. If the bunny's owners in question are desperate, here's a link to a Bay Area bunny rescue organization.

I actually have pretty bad cat allergies despite having owned lots of them, but none of the rabbits I've had has ever pinged my sinuses, so possibly Hec and Emmett would be fine too. I'm just saying. For, uh, future reference.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Everybody should aspire to looking like cool cartoon characters.

Well, yes. Some of us have known this for years.

LOST: one brain and accompanying motivation. If found, please return to me, preferably with chocolate.

What is even happening?

Jill, I think the chocolate should already be there ahead of time, you know, just in case the brain shows up.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

However, I don't know if that would work on me. 1) I have super fine, thin hair that needs layers for body. 2) Will it make my round face even rounder and my chins even chinnier?

Many variables at play here. What layers do is they give more movement to the hair, and allow for fluffier styling. Which is good for fine hair. However, fine hair usually benefits from a very blunt cut because having a weight-line makes the hair look thicker. It'd probably style very sleek to your head on the sides then.

The key for round face issues is where on your face you want the bob to fall. Also, how you do the bangs would have a big influence on framing your features.

If you do the bob right at chin length it will tend to make your face look a little rounder. If you do it slightly longer, past the chin, the round effect is less, but that's going to get kind of flat and lifeless for fine hair at that length. If you went shorter, like to the corner of the mouth, or just below and angled it up then it should look good. (Consider Fay's bob in the F2F pictures).

Fay went with an off-center part which is excellent for her face and very flirty. With straighter, finer hair, though, that's going to be in your eyes all day. With the bangs, I'd either go for a very straight, clean line just above the eyebrows (not as short as Bettie Page bangs), or longer bangs over the eyebrows but very textured and chipped out.

I totally want a stylized, comic or anime look, which I hope is not supremely silly on a 36-year-old woman...

Not silly! God, you'll look awesome. I remember when Daisy got her hair cut like Faye in Cowboy Bebop.

Of course it isn't!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Well I think it sounds fanfuckingtastic.

...of course, I also thought that the Mr Happy and Kermit Adidas sneakers of which I heard this afternoon are things I should own, so I may not be the best pattern card for seemly 30something style choices.

counts pennies. reminds self how stupid it would be to spend £90 on a pair of fucking SHOES.
