It's true. But... two dollars?!?
Was it for a binomial book?
'Objects In Space'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Conversation with JZ before bedtime:
Me: Goodnight, babymaker! I think your breasts are getting smaller.
Her: They are. But they're rock hard.
::pokes breast to demonstrate. kisses me::
Goodnight babystarter. Heh. You're like the yeast starter for sourdough.
My contribution to this child has been compared to fungus. This is my role.
but compare that to the 5 dollars the other way it would take you to send/bring it out here.
Yes. Of course. You're right. I know you're right, it's just... I paid painful amounts of money for these books originally, and now... poof!
It's because they keep releasing new editions, of course. In cases where they don't, I'm getting decent prices. But five-year-old textbooks might as well be kindling, most of the time.
it is a very hard thing to do, I know.
You're like the yeast starter for sourdough.
Well, that's a San Francisco thought process for you.
Hey Raq! JZ scanned a bunch of Little Nemo today.
I'm supposed to be post it somewhere tomorrow for you to nab and play with as necessary.
Also, apparently it's the wrong time of year to sell fancy dresses on ebay. I know that because I'm doing research. Research, I tell you. Research which has resulted in my wanting this and also this and this and let's not forget this. It's a good thing that I'm looking specifically at dresses which will not fit me.
(Although given that I've spent a good deal of today thinking about the issue of cultural appropriation, I'm feeling odd about the first one. But the point is, it's pretty.)
On the drive home from practice K-Bug was asking who lived in the Seattle area since it is confirmed that we will be up there for a week. I listed off some old high school friends, plus Jilli, Pete, Plei, Princess Tickybox...
K-Bug: Who is Princess Tickybox?
Me: ::detailed explanation::
K-Bug: But I'm THE Princess.
Me: Well, there are a lot of Buffista Princesses.
K-Bug: Heh, I'm older. I'll sit of the rest of them.
Me: ...

No squarshing of the Ticky!
Remind me, please, that it's better to sell heavy expensive textbooks I'm never going to use again than to take them across the country with me, even if I'm selling them for the cost of a bag of potato chips. Because it feels deeply, deeply wrong. The potato chips will cost much less to ship. And your heart won't be broken when a box gets busted and they get skewered. Not that I am bitter...

Sweet!

I hated selling textbooks back, especially for the amazing drop in price. But I've actually never missed them.
