Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Gah. Fricking panic attack at work is not cool. I'm still all shaky. And I have e-mails from my boss in BOI asking when I'm going to get this and that done...knowing full well I'm so overloaded that I've ask for, and not received, help from her.

I need a sugar daddy so I can quit.

What is even happening?

Yay for the armadillo!

Cashmere, that's one gorgeous daughter you have there.

I'd be inclined to let her screw up one more time before sending the letter if she sounded contrite enough.

I'm sort of with Trudy on this, vw. Or, I might take a middle road, and just inform her on the phone, something like, "Look, we really want decent notice when you're coming over. A recording on the voice mail doesn't cut it. I need you to at least talk to one of us, so if it isn't a good time, we can let you know. I'd really prefer the 24 hours we're allowed, but try to be generous in that regard when I can."

If you were staying there, I might recommend you go stronger, but you're almost out. You can reserve the letter if the verbal warning doesn't do the trick, but you're almost out of there, and if Emily let him in (I thought he let himself in) yesterday, yeah, what he did still doesn't respect all your rights, but it's helping you guys, if he's putting in a screen (or whatever he was doing).

Have they already rented out the place?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

vw, I think you should alter the letter to reflect your most recent conversation, but I would send it anyway. I have no doubt that they will continue to take advantage of you if you don't.

Thrive to spite them

vw -- I'm with SJ. It doesn't seem that your landlady understands what she's been doing isn't acceptable.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Job is going well. A bit slow, but that's to be expected with training and all.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

oh, as usual, dear.

In my office we have three network printers. All are currently broken. One had been fixed - sort of - but someone was trying to clear a jam and a piece came off. She came out waving this piece of the printer and announcing it was broken.

I pointed out to her that when people kill office equipment they don't usually take trophies.

At least it was a bloodless coup, Toddson.

vw, "I didn't think there was a problem" -> send the letter. So she knows, and you have a record of telling her.

Transmission in our car needs replacing. $1200 going poof and no car until Friday. And Henry has a meeting/interview for a job he thinks he wants to take tomorrow in Emeryville. He's tying to figure ot the warranty situation now.
