Because books.

What Kristin and Trudy said, vw!

And even though it likely says you can't use your deposit as your final month's rent I'd suggest you do

I've never understood the logic behind this rule.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Because then if you've trashed the place they lose the hold over you that the security was for.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I've never understood the logic behind this rule.

Well, they want to be able to deduct whatever damage you've done. And they're supposed to give you a full accounting and a check within thirty days. But a lot of small and/or sleezy landlords just keep it or deduct for things that you didn't do and know its not really worth the fight for you to go after them.

OTOH, if you just tell them to use the deposit for the last month you're likely to piss them off, but its generally not worth it for THEM to go after YOU (particularly if there is no damage).

Because books.

Oh. That makes sense. I guess never having trashed an apartment, that never really occurred to me.

I should hang out with rockers more.

The status is NOT quo.

I. Hate. Waiting.

At the moment I am waiting for sound stuff to be delivered to ND's apartment (since he's at work). I am also waiting for word as to whether or not we are going to get the Pasadena house we put in our application for yesterday. I know that the app is being processed RIGHT NOW, but I have no idea how long it will be until we hear yay or nay.

I am a very bad waiter. I failed waiting in kindergarten.

I failed waiting in kindergarten.

me too! That's why I'm always late. I hate to wait, so if i'm late, things start when I get there.

unfortunately, my brilliant plan doesn't always work, since people expect me to be late, so they delay the start. bastards!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.
