Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have a box full of close that don't fit, but I can't quite get rid of it because I know there are some things in there that I love enough to hold on to in the hopes that someday they will fit again or I will alter them or something. I have moved it twice. I really need to cull, but I am weak.

Really going to bed now.

The status is NOT quo.

Night! Bed for me too.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Landlord just came by to fix things in my room, about 10 minutes after I'd woken up. Said, "Didn't my wife call you?" Apparently she did, about an hour earlier, and left a message, which I didn't get as I WAS ASLEEP. Just calling isn't enough, folks, you have to actually talk to somebody.

It was okay, cause I like him, and he's really easy-going. But I could have been asleep!

move out and draw fire

Just from the screen, it looks like vw and Emily are together! Weird.

My day got better, although I haven't gotten a lot done. Just one of those nibbled-to-death-by-ducks days. Didn't sleep well last night, as something was banging against the side of the house (TUNG!!! TUNGTUNG!!!). Turns out it was our awning, which I'd furled to keep it from blowing. I'm guessing the nanny lowered it to keep sun off the porch.

Then I discovered my shampoo had gone off. I didn't even know it could do that. That's what I get for buying the Exxon Valdez-size bottles.

And here's a question for the unAmericans, or anyone who might know: Why do bidets have drain plugs? I mean, why would you ever want to stop the water from draining and have the bidet fill? Unless you are, for example, 16 months old and have figured out how to block the overflow hole also.

Ok. I've had time to stew, and I am FURIOUS about what happened this morning. It is the straw that broke the camal's back.

I just called the landlord to yell at her, and while I was mid-sentence she interrupted my yelling to tell me she was on the other line, and could she call me back?

WTF???!!!!! 'Cause that's gonna CALM ME DOWN!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Damn, vw, nothing like getting a good rant on and having it cut short.

I feel for the sleepless peeps. I stayed up too late and now I'm paying for it in lack of focus. Ugh. Plus, I got into it with one of my workers (who is also a personal friend) and now I'm trying to figure out how to smooth things out and get everything back in balance. It was one of those cases where she was correct according to our old supervisor, but I'm the supervisor now, so I made the opposite decision and she just can't grok that. She feels it's a matter of company policy, but it's not written down anywhere. Also, she's just a tad officious and it's not her position to tell the other employees what they can or cannot do. It's leaving a nasty taste in my mouth.

Well, it's given me time to research the tenant's rights again. With the log of their behavior over the last month, I should have absolutely NO problem getting a restraining order against them.

Now, I don't want to do that. I don't even want to threaten it. But, if she doesn't make some changes, I sure as hell will.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Timelies!

I had an excellent afk-ish weekend, and have just caught up. Glitter, ~ma and brackets for them that need it.

I don't feel like I have a hometown. I spent 4th grade through highschool in a small Ohio town that I disliked. I bailed right away for college, and that's more where I came into myself. So I think that's the place that feels the most familiar to me. I'm only just starting to get into what I think is the "adult" phase of my life, and I haven't lived anywhere but Ohio, so I don't have much to reckon against. I think I'm more of a "home" person than a "hometown" person. I've got my home, and I can put that anywhere and feel comfortable.

I had concert tickets on Friday, and it was excellent. The lead singer of Hoobastank's well-chiseled abs were distinguishable from the other side of the arena. Nickelback is much better in concert than one might expect. And they like to set things on fire or blow them up, which always goes over well with me.

I have also seen the Big Gay Pirate Movie. And then I went to see it again the next day. It's when I started taking notes during the second showing that I realized that Fandom and I are getting Serious about each other. I mean, we've had a casual relationship up to this point, but I felt awkward introducing it to my friends. But I now have to admit to myself that I am a true fangirl, and I am not ashamed. Fandom and I are dooooooomed.

(And, in related news, how's the doooooomed going vw?)
