I have skipped, but this much I know:
Congratulations, Jen!

Me, too! Sparky, you ain't in KC, is ya?
I am in KC-ish at the moment (shuttling between Overland Park and Blue Springs) visiting my DH's family. I wish I was at liberty to do Buffista visiting, but since we're only here for a couple of days, we really needed to spend it with the family. Believe me, I really wish I'd planned better when we found ourselves walking around The Plaza and I kept thinking that you lived somewhere near there, Erin.
We are in Sacramento. Well, Roseville, actually. It is 90 outside - at 9pm. Tomorrow is gonna be H-O-T!!!
DH and K-Bug walked across the street to get some sushi. I shouldn't be nervous about him saying something wrong to her, should I?
Stooopid hotel does not have wi-fi. I don't like being tethered, darn it.
Has anyone heard from Teppy since she went to the hospital to see her grandfather?
I love Cindy. Love love love.
Anyway. I didn't go to the hospital, at my mom's urging. She said that Grandpa was very agitated, which is getting expressed physically -- he flails and pulls out his iv tubes and tries to get out of bed, etc. She said that it's probably better if I wait until he's more settled.
I live right on the Plaza, Sparky. If you visited Anthropologie or Urban Outfitters, you were 1/2 a block from my apartment!
Ah, well.
Sparky should go see Erin. Everybody should see Erin when they get the opportunity.
Nurse Jen, R.N. Sweet!
Jars + Fay = Superfantastic.
Poor Fay in the hometown which inspires such lust for the local accent when she's away but inspires such revulsion at bad hair choices when present.
Robin, root canal isn't so bad anymore. I mean, even when I had it back in high school it wasn't horrible. It wasn't
great,
but it was okay.
I spent my formative years being ostracised for not being appropriately working class, or at best looked upon as a strange, incomprehensible species of alien creature I just feel every bit as much a stranger in a strange land [in my hometown] as I ever did in [foriegn city]. Which is, of course, why I'm so happy to bugger off around the world - I'm used to not belonging.
Wrod wrod wrod with a side of wrod and a nice garnish of chopped wrod.
Robin, root canal isn't so bad anymore.
Seconded. The worst thing about mine was just having my jaw open for so long. Otherwise it was no big deal.

Thirded, exactly this.
Happy Saturday! I am awake because I drove my friend staying with us to the T. Maybe I'll go back and doze for a while.
Nurse Jen, R.N. Sweet!
I know I'm not the only one that went to a Naughty Nurse Jen place.
Also, I'm doomed.
As in dooooooomed?

I left my hometown when I was 19 - 33 years ago. Every time I go back for a visit it is like time has stood still while my life did not. Best move I ever made. One of the best things about living in S. Florida is that most everyone here left their hometown. S'nice.
Did Pirates with MIL and my family. Was fun. Guys have all gone fishing and I have a very quiet house. Ahhhhh
