Jeez, don't get all Movie of the Week. I was just too cheap to buy you a real present.

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

As did I. Congratulations, Jen!

I just stopped by the dance. So adorable. As I left, 50 middle school kids were jumping up and down and screaming to "Nevermind." (Which was actually slightly more disturbing than adorable. But the rest of the dance was adorable.)

What is even happening?

Gris, on a quick skim, I thought this:

Yahoo! Answers should have a "Filter out any posts in which more than 95% of words fail spell check."
...to be an answer to this:
Stephen Hawking wants to know how the human race can survive the next hundred years.

Has anyone heard from Teppy since she went to the hospital to see her grandfather?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

YAY JEN YAY! Congrats!

In conclusion, let's go out for a drink soon.

The status is NOT quo.

Carmax was a wash. Way less money than I can afford to take. Wouldn't even pay my loan off. Sigh. Cars.com, here I come.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Gronk, gronk, and gronk again.

The longest week in the world is over. Somehow we crammed a whole week's worth of stress, negativity, and stone-throwing (plus about nine days' actual work) into three days. In the middle of them, I went up to Milwaukee to drink way too much and go see a midnight showing of Pirates. Then back to Chicago by 8:30 this morning. After work - minion's dad had a gallery opening, so I couldn't miss that.

Finally home. Dog is home, contentedly chewing on one of her stuffed animals. I'm trying to gather the energy to crawl into the bedroom and collapse.

'Night all.

Congratulations, Jen!

Me, too! Sparky, you ain't in KC, is ya?

I am in KC-ish at the moment (shuttling between Overland Park and Blue Springs) visiting my DH's family. I wish I was at liberty to do Buffista visiting, but since we're only here for a couple of days, we really needed to spend it with the family. Believe me, I really wish I'd planned better when we found ourselves walking around The Plaza and I kept thinking that you lived somewhere near there, Erin.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

We are in Sacramento. Well, Roseville, actually. It is 90 outside - at 9pm. Tomorrow is gonna be H-O-T!!!

DH and K-Bug walked across the street to get some sushi. I shouldn't be nervous about him saying something wrong to her, should I?

Stooopid hotel does not have wi-fi. I don't like being tethered, darn it.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Has anyone heard from Teppy since she went to the hospital to see her grandfather?

I love Cindy. Love love love.

Anyway. I didn't go to the hospital, at my mom's urging. She said that Grandpa was very agitated, which is getting expressed physically -- he flails and pulls out his iv tubes and tries to get out of bed, etc. She said that it's probably better if I wait until he's more settled.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I live right on the Plaza, Sparky. If you visited Anthropologie or Urban Outfitters, you were 1/2 a block from my apartment!

Ah, well.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sparky should go see Erin. Everybody should see Erin when they get the opportunity.

Jars + Fay = Superfantastic.

Poor Fay in the hometown which inspires such lust for the local accent when she's away but inspires such revulsion at bad hair choices when present.

Robin, root canal isn't so bad anymore. I mean, even when I had it back in high school it wasn't horrible. It wasn't great, but it was okay.
