[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Cash, JZ, and flea - thanks for the maternity-wear advice and links. I've forwarded it all. Up to and including the surry/Suri discussion.

I'm glad your DH is home and doing well, connie. May the treatment do its job well.

Cash, so sorry the shot has lost effectiveness; I'm sending along all good thoughts and -ma for you.

R's boss is an asshead.

Agreed.

Serious health-ma to your grandpa, Steph.

Dental health-ma to Robin. Minimal pain, too.

Yay, Jen! Congratulations!

I will be Pirating at the movies on Saturday with my niece, assuming there are tickets to be had. And I will look appropriately piratey, too, including my skull and crossbone earring in the second hole of the two-hole ear and my requisite scarf, of course.

ETA: And, sj, energy-ma to you.

The status is NOT quo.

Fay, I completely understand the home but not at home thing. I felt it (to a minor degree) when I was back east earlier in the summer. Very disconcerting.

ION, yay Nurse Jen!!

Coffee (what? it's breakfast to me):

So much ~ma to Bitches who need it: ((((Cash, Connie and DH, Robin, sj, Teppy and grandpa)))) and anyone else I missed.

I am in CarMax getting my Forester appraised. Hopefully they'll offer me enough money to mean I don't have to sell it myself. I really hate having to deal with car selling to private parties.

is sold

...although I must confess to being a total and utter lightweight with alcohol now. (3 years in a Muslim country, for half of which time my flatmate/constant companion was allergic to alcohol.)

I gather the fair opens at midday. Could we maybe meet at the train station? Around, er, 1ish?

Could we maybe meet at the train station? Around, er, 1ish?

Yup. Sounds fantabulous. We'll be the loud American and the geek with pink hair.

I completely forgot to say congratulations to Jen. Eeek!

Congratulations Jen!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

As did I. Congratulations, Jen!

I just stopped by the dance. So adorable. As I left, 50 middle school kids were jumping up and down and screaming to "Nevermind." (Which was actually slightly more disturbing than adorable. But the rest of the dance was adorable.)

What is even happening?

Gris, on a quick skim, I thought this:

Yahoo! Answers should have a "Filter out any posts in which more than 95% of words fail spell check."
...to be an answer to this:
Stephen Hawking wants to know how the human race can survive the next hundred years.

Has anyone heard from Teppy since she went to the hospital to see her grandfather?
